Footsteps on gravel behind you. A window breaks two houses down. A helicopter is coming in with supplies, and you are not the only one who heard it. Zero Hour Assault is a fast online shooter played entirely by ear: you aim, move, drive and fight with sound alone, against real players from around the world.
Drop into a match in one of twenty modes, or parachute into Brackenford, an open city where the fight never stops. It is free to play, and it is built from the first line for blind and visually impaired players.

Scoreboards
The same leaderboards you find in the game menu under Statistics, Ranked play and Progress, refreshed every five minutes. Repeated kills of the same player inside a few minutes do not count, so a place here has to be earned in real fights.

What is in the game
Everything below is in the game today.
Twenty match modes
Create a public or private match from the lobby, pick the mode and the team size, and start. Empty seats can be filled with computer-controlled fighters, so a match can begin even when you are alone. You can also watch any running match.
Seven new modes
Battle royale. Everyone starts with a pistol and loots the rest. The safe zone shrinks in six phases, and you hear how far and which way to run.
Search and destroy. Rounds without respawn. Attackers plant the spike on site A or B, defenders defuse it. First team to four rounds wins.
Team deathmatch. Respawn after every death. First team to 30 kills, or the best team after ten minutes.
Kill confirmed. Every death drops a beeping tag. Your team only scores by picking up the tags of its kills.
Hardpoint. Hold the hill for a point a second. The hill pings, and moves every 60 seconds.
Gun game. Every kill hands you the next of ten weapons. The last one is the knife.
Infected. One player turns, with a sword. Everyone they kill joins them. Survivors win if one of them lasts four minutes.
In these modes everyone gets the same fixed equipment, so skill decides.
Thirteen classic modes
Team dead match and Last man standing, with a play area that shrinks as the match goes on.
Capture the flag. Steal the other team's flags and bring ten of them home.
Zombie survival. Both teams against the zombies. Hide in houses until the doors give way.
Zombie vs player. One team is human, the other fights with claws and heals with every hit.
Explosive battle and Abyss Clash. Grenades and molotovs only; Abyss Clash adds pits to fall into.
Sniper duel, Sword duel, Knife fight and Hand to hand combat. One kind of weapon, no excuses.
Snowflake survival. Collect snowflake shards and throw them. One freeze is fatal.
Collector's arena. No fighting: collect the most gold in ten minutes.
Most of them can be played in teams or everyone for themselves.
Freedom fight: the city of Brackenford
Freedom fight needs no match. A helicopter flies you over the city, you choose where to jump, open your parachute and land in a fight that is always running.
A city you can learn by ear
Brackenford is 600 by 600 steps: Meridian Plaza with its fountain, the three-storey Halcyon Arcade, the Thornwood forest, the Silverrun Canal with five bridges, the Ironmill Works, a hospital, a school, a hotel tower and a farm. About 60 buildings can be entered, and every room sounds like its size.
Stairs, roofs and the Underline
Real stairs lead to upper floors and roofs, ladders to the water tower and the bell tower. Under Lantern Avenue runs the Underline, a railway tunnel with three stations.
Windows that break
735 glass windows. Shoot one, or put a grenade through it, and it becomes an opening you can fire, climb and listen through. The glass on the floor crunches under whoever steps in next.
Events all day
Supply airdrops in three tiers, red zone bombardments with a warning and a way out, eight control points to capture and hold, helicopter extractions, and supply stations along the streets. Every announcement tells you the direction and the distance from where you stand.
Loot and shops
About 220 chests in houses, cellars, warehouses and the metro. Tanner's Market holds the seven shops. A compass and a guide beacon lead you to any place you pick.
Never an empty city
When few players are around, computer-controlled fighters drop in by helicopter. They loot, take cover, reload, hold control points and can be beaten like anyone else.
Weapons
Rifles such as the M4, the AK-47, the MKEK MPT-76 and the M1 Garand. The Tayfun light machine gun with its 60 round belt. Shotguns, pistols, a revolver and the GSG-5. Sniper rifles with a scope. Knives and swords you can also throw. Hand grenades, smoke grenades, molotovs, mines, time bombs and remote charges.
Carry a weapon in each hand, fit a silencer, aim up and down, duck, and go for headshots or leg shots.
Walls stop every bullet. A shot only hits what it could really reach.
The weapon guide in the game menu gives the real numbers of every weapon and compares any two.
Weapon of the day, mastery levels and a leaderboard for every weapon.
Vehicles
Motors carry a driver and passengers. They have gears, a horn you choose, locks, a dashboard on H, nitro that you earn by driving, and damage that you hear in the engine. Ram an enemy, crash into a wall, or have your parked motor stolen. Bikes have three gears and their own health. Sprint trials keep personal bests and a top ten.
Characters with their own voices
Your character is your voice in the fight: pain, a death cry, lines for your kills. Tristan comes with every account; Aria, Kade, Razeon, Shadow, Hex, Supreme and Lord can be added. A character is a voice and an identity. Every character has the same health, speed, jump and damage.
An arena announcer calls the big moments: first blood, double kill, rampage, shutdown, victory.
Hear a sample (11 seconds, nothing plays until you press play):
Knocked down, and lifted back up
In freedom fight, team dead match, last man standing and team deathmatch, a lethal hit knocks you down half of the time instead of killing you. You lie where you fell, you can still talk, and your character groans so that helpers, and enemies, can find you. A team mate or a friend stands next to you, presses T and stays close for four seconds, and you are back on your feet. If nobody comes, it ends.
Items
Bandages and med kits. An ammo box that fits whatever you hold. Decoys that fire fake shots, a lure that walks fake footsteps away from you, motion sensors and trip wires. Smoke that hides you from lists and scopes. Shields, a helmet, barricades, ladders, binoculars, a jammer, and a supply flare that calls a helicopter to your position and tells the whole map about it.
Groups, bases and friends
Found a group in freedom fight and it gets a base with chests for its members, a door with a password and up to four more bases later. Bases can be attacked, so defend them. Communities give you a shared chat and a voice channel without a base. Friends, a watchlist, profiles, polls and an activity feed keep you in touch.
Missions and progression
Levels 1 to 100 and prestige stars after that.
Three daily missions, three weekly missions and a challenge of the week for the whole server.
More than fifty achievements, titles, badges and kill signatures.
A monthly Season Pass with 30 tiers and a free reward track.
Ranked play in eight divisions from Iron to Grandmaster, with monthly seasons.
Detailed statistics: per weapon, per map, head to head against every opponent, and personal records.
Voice chat
Press V and the players near you hear your voice from where your character stands. Press B to talk to your whole community, wherever its members are. Push to talk or a toggle, your choice, and you can set the volume of every speaker.
Languages
Chat channels for 27 languages, from Turkish, English, Spanish and Portuguese to Arabic, Persian, Hindi, Indonesian and Vietnamese. Messages can be translated as you send or read them. Players have also translated the game's own texts into many languages, and you can pick one of those translations in the game.
What's new
Straight from the game's own list of changes, newest first. Open an entry to read it.
New in 30/09/2026 (seventh update of the day): launch update. Every new device is confirmed with a mail code, links are switched off in chat, a report button for players, first steps, play time rewards, a season leaderboard, a new lobby with a shooting range and a training dummy, a new web shop and
NEW: Your account is now protected on every device. The first time you log in from a phone or computer you have not used before, we mail a code to your e-mail address and the game asks for it once. After that the device is remembered and you are never asked again on it.
IMPROVED: The login code stays valid for 15 minutes. If you mistype it, just log in again and type the same code; we do not flood your inbox with new ones.
IMPROVED: If somebody keeps guessing the code of your account, new devices are locked for 30 minutes while your own devices keep working.
NEW: If your account has no working e-mail address, the game asks you to add one and confirm it with a code when you log in. You can keep playing and logging in exactly as before.
IMPROVED: Changing your password in the game always asks for the code we mail you first.
FIXED: The "authorization requirement" line of the account security menu could switch the protection off. It now tells you that the protection is always on.
NEW: Links are switched off everywhere players can write: public chat, map, team, group and community chat, private messages, announcements, status messages, poll texts, suggestions, names, kill lines, mottos and notes. Only audiowander.com and nbmstudios.com can be shared. If your message contains a link it is not sent and you are told why.
NEW: Report a player: open the game menu and choose "Report a player to the staff", or type slash report, the name and what happened in the chat box. The staff sees it at once.
IMPROVED: When the staff warns, mutes, kicks or bans you, you are told the reason, how long it lasts, and where to write if you think it was a mistake.
FIXED: Typing zero, a negative number, a huge number or letters as an amount in the store, the event store, credit transfers, the group bank, chests or when dropping items is refused with a clear message. Nothing is bought, sold or moved.
FIXED: Only the owner of a group can take credits out of the group and publish group announcements.
FIXED: Your support tickets can be opened and closed only by you and by the support team.
NEW: The public chat can be put into slow mode by the staff when it gets too busy: one message every few seconds per player.
NEW: First steps. A short checklist for new players at the very top of the game menu: open the game menu, claim the daily reward, join a match, visit freedom fight, defeat an opponent, buy something and try the shooting range. Every step pays zero credits and XP, the full list pays a bonus, an XP boost card and the title Ready for Duty.
NEW: A spoken welcome at your very first login: where you are, the one key that opens the match menu, and where to find First steps. It stands alone, without tips and reminders.
NEW: The game menu starts with one line that tells you what waits for you: your next first step, or "Rewards ready" with the daily reward, season rewards and cosmetic reward packs.
NEW: Game menu line "Rewards": the daily reward, play time, the season, XP boost, the season leaderboard and missions in one short menu.
NEW: Play time rewards: 15, 30, 60 and 120 minutes of active play a day pay zero credits and XP. Only real play in a match or in freedom fight counts, not the lobby, waiting rooms or standing still.
NEW: Comeback reward: after 3 or more days away you get zero credits and an XP boost card, more after two weeks.
NEW: Play with a friend: finishing a match together with a friend gives bonus XP, up to 5 times a day.
NEW: First win of the day now also pays a few zero credits on top of the 50 XP.
NEW: Match end summary: after every match you hear how much XP is left to your next season tier and your next level.
NEW: After a match without a second real player you are told why it paid nothing and what does.
NEW: XP boost cards: one card gives plus 50 percent XP for one hour. Cards come from season rewards, long login streaks, the comeback reward and the store.
NEW: Season leaderboard: the season XP of every player, with last season's winners.
NEW: End of season prizes: the top ten of the season leaderboard get a title, a badge and zero credits, also when they are offline at the end of the month.
IMPROVED: Season rewards you reached but did not claim are no longer lost at the end of the month. They are added to your account automatically.
IMPROVED: The supporter row of the Season Pass now also holds XP boost cards, a streak saver and zero credits next to titles, kill sounds and badges. It is open to paid accounts and to the new season supporter pass.
NEW: Season supporter pass: opens the supporter row for one season. It can be bought with zero credits you earned by playing. A pass bought in the last 5 days of a season also counts for the next one.
IMPROVED: Daily login calendar: your streak counts on after the first week, with a little more XP every week, an XP boost card at 14 days, and zero credits, a cosmetic reward pack and a title at 30 days. Your best streak is remembered.
NEW: Streak savers: you can hold up to 3. Every missed day uses one, after the free weekly saver, so a short break does not reset your streak.
NEW: Store category "extras" and Economy menu "Extras": XP boost card, streak saver, season supporter pass, two kill sound packs, a title pack and the emote and horn pack, all for zero credits. Nothing in it changes a fight.
NEW: Kill sound packs Arcade and Steel: 6 kill sounds and 2 victory jingles each. Title pack Veteran: 8 titles.
NEW: Emote and horn pack: all 10 sound emotes and the 3 extra horns for motor and bike, for good, without a paid account.
NEW: The lobby has a notice board, 8 steps north of where you start: players online and where they are, matches waiting for players, the season and its leaders, today's lobby challenge and the staff notice of the day.
NEW: The lobby has a shooting range, east of the notice board. A target beeps around you, you turn toward it and shoot with shift and enter, or a triple tap on a phone. 45 seconds, moving targets in the second half, your personal best and a top ten for all time and for the week.
NEW: The lobby has a training dummy, between the notice board and the shooting range: pick a weapon class and hear what every weapon does to a fighter with your health: damage per hit, hits needed, seconds of fire and range.
NEW: Lobby challenge of the day: reach today's score at the shooting range for XP and a few zero credits, once a day.
NEW: Waiting match calls: players in the lobby hear when a public match waits for players and how many have joined.
NEW: Game menu line "Lobby": the notice board, the match menu from anywhere in the lobby, a range round right where you stand, and where things are.
IMPROVED: The lobby zones and the welcome sign tell you where the match menu, the notice board, the training dummy and the shooting range are, and the zone tracker lists them.
NEW: Staff can set a notice of the day for the lobby notice board.
IMPROVED: Tips, the FAQ and help texts name the real game menu lines instead of a menu that no longer exists, with new answers about first steps, the daily streak and the season.
IMPROVED: The daily reward reminder at login points to Rewards at the top of the game menu.
IMPROVED: Gifting zero credits to a friend opens at level 8, so fresh accounts cannot be used to pass their starting rewards on.
IMPROVED: Less disk work every minute: player progress is written less often.
NEW: The Zero Hour Assault shop has a new home: audiowander.com/zero-shop. It works with every screen reader, needs no JavaScript and has no picture puzzles.
NEW: Every purchase now has an order number. You hear it in the game when the purchase arrives and you can look it up on the shop's Your purchases page.
NEW: Purchases arrive by themselves within a few seconds. If you are offline, they are waiting for you and arrive 3 seconds after your next login, with a sound and a spoken confirmation.
NEW: Game menu, Your purchases: everything that was delivered to your account, and anything that is still on its way.
NEW: Buy a gift for a friend: enter your friend's player name in the shop. Your friend hears who the gift is from.
NEW: The shop checks the player name against the real accounts of your server before you pay, so a mistyped name can no longer cost you money.
NEW: Zero Credits in six sizes, with more bonus credits the bigger the pack.
NEW: Paid account for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, cheaper per month the longer you take it.
NEW: Starter pack, weekly supporter pack, season supporter pass, experience boosts and streak savers in the shop.
NEW: Cosmetic packs in the shop: kill sound packs, a title pack and the emote and horn pack.
NEW: The character voices Shadow, Hex, Supreme and Lord cost the same now, and there is a bundle with all four. If you already own one, you get zero credits instead.
IMPROVED: Characters are sold as what they are: a voice and an identity. Every character has the same health, speed, jump and damage.
IMPROVED: The store's "online store" entries open the new shop.
FIXED: Purchases from the web shop were not reaching the game since the server moved. They are delivered again, exactly once.
FIXED: A purchase could be lost when it arrived at the same moment the server was reading the delivery file, or when another purchase in the same file had a wrong name.
FIXED: The TeamTalk activity gift announced 10 zero credits but did not always give them.
NEW: Zero Hour Assault has its own page on our website, audiowander.com/zero-hour-assault.php: what the game is, every match mode, the freedom fight city of Brackenford, weapons, vehicles, characters, items, groups, missions, voice chat and languages.
NEW: The page shows who is playing right now on the Windows server and on the mobile server: how many players are online, their names, how many are in the lobby, in freedom fight and in matches, and the matches that are open.
NEW: The message of the day of each server can be read on the website.
NEW: The scoreboards are on the website: most kills of all time and of the week, ranked rating with divisions, highest level, match wins, longest kill streak, best kill to death ratio, freedom fight of the day and most time played.
NEW: The latest changes of the game can be read on the website, newest first.
NEW: The website has a store section that explains Zero Credits and the paid account, with a link to the web shop.
NEW: How to start, the main keys and touch gestures, questions and answers, and the privacy policy are on the website.
NEW: You can listen to a short sample of the arena announcer on the website.
IMPROVED: Players with a private profile are counted on the website but never named there, and they do not appear on the website scoreboards. Staff members who are hidden are never shown.
IMPROVED: Zero Hour Assault is linked from the AudioWander home page and from the menu of every page of the site.
IMPROVED: The server stays smooth with many players online. In our 100 player test a game tick now takes about 2 milliseconds on average instead of 100, and no tick takes longer than 50 milliseconds.
FIXED: With many players online, some players were no longer updated by the server at all: they could not die, respawn, finish a reload or heal until the crowd thinned out. Every player is now handled on every tick.
FIXED: During heavy fire, bullets could slow down or hang in the air for a moment. Every bullet now flies at its normal speed no matter how many are in the air.
FIXED: Matches and match bots no longer freeze for a moment whenever somebody respawns in the freedom fight or uses an item that takes time, such as a helmet, a ladder or a base door.
FIXED: Waiting actions (respawn in the freedom fight, putting on a helmet, entering a base, and similar) now always end on time, even when many players do them at once. Before, you could stay unable to move for a long time.
FIXED: Yes and no questions ("Are you sure?") are now answered only by the player who was asked. Before, when two players had such a question open, one player's answer could be taken for the other player's question.
FIXED: A yes or no question that is left open no longer slows the whole server down.
IMPROVED: Logging in while many players are online no longer causes a short freeze for everybody.
IMPROVED: Saving the game no longer causes a short freeze every minute and a half and after every death.
IMPROVED: Starting and ending matches no longer causes a short freeze for everybody.
IMPROVED: Less network traffic: sounds and moving sounds are only sent to players who are close enough to hear them, and helicopter moves only to players nearby.
IMPROVED: The server no longer keeps using more and more memory the longer it runs.
NEW: Staff can type /perf to hear how busy the server has been in the last seconds, /perf 6 for the last minute, and /perf slow for the last slow moments.
IMPROVED: Right after a server restart, while everybody reconnects, the game no longer freezes for more than a second.
New in 30/09/2026 (sixth update of the day): walls stop every bullet, knocked down and lifting, 12 new items, the motor back in the store, paid account extras, bots in the new match modes, stronger freedom fight fighters, auto tracking fixed, less lag.
FIXED: Bullets, knives, punches and thrown weapons no longer hit bots, zombies, empty vehicles or items on the ground that are behind a wall or on another floor. Before, anything within the hit radius of a passing bullet was hit even with a wall or a floor in between; only players were protected.
FIXED: A bullet fired from certain standing positions could skip over a wall that is one square thick. Walls now always stop bullets, thrown weapons and grenades, whatever position or angle you shoot from.
FIXED: Bullets and grenades can no longer slip through the corner where two walls touch diagonally.
FIXED: A knife attack on somebody standing one or two squares in front of a wall or a window no longer gets lost as a wall hit.
FIXED: Bullets no longer make a whiz sound because somebody far away, or on another map, is ducking.
IMPROVED: A breaking window now sounds like breaking glass: one of three glass sounds, picked at random. A window that comes back plays a short glass sound.
IMPROVED: Less server lag in fire fights and when grenades fly: the server does about five times less work per bullet and far less per grenade.
FIXED: Freedom fight: a fighter who was killed in the air (during the parachute drop, a jump or a fall) no longer loses the next life inside the helicopter and no longer falls below the ground without end.
FIXED: Falling out of a map: on every map, anyone who ends up below the lowest floor is put back on the nearest ground right away, without fall damage.
FIXED: Being moved by the game (respawn, rescue, match start or end, staff teleport) while falling no longer costs health from the fall you were taken out of.
NEW: Knocked down instead of dead: in freedom fight, team dead match, last man standing and team deathmatch, a lethal hit from another fighter knocks you down half of the time instead of killing you.
NEW: While knocked down you lie where you fell with 1 health. You cannot move, shoot or use items, but you can still talk. You hear how many seconds are left.
NEW: Lifting: stand next to a knocked down fighter, press T (or interact: Shift+Enter, triple tap in the middle on a phone) and stay close for 4 seconds without being hit. Both of you hear the progress. The lifted fighter stands up with 30 percent health and 3 seconds of protection.
NEW: Who can lift: in team matches only team mates. In freedom fight and last man standing anybody can; friends and group mates lift with T or interact, strangers with T.
NEW: Friends, group mates and team mates are told when you go down, in which direction and how far, and hear a locator sound at your place.
NEW: A knocked down fighter groans with the character's own voice every few seconds, so both helpers and enemies can find the place.
NEW: Knocked down fighters are marked "downed" in the nearby players list (E).
NEW: Nobody came: after 2 minutes (45 seconds in team deathmatch) a knocked down fighter dies. Any further damage finishes them at once. The kill always goes to the fighter who knocked them down.
NEW: Giving up: press T twice (or interact twice) while knocked down to die right away.
NEW: When nobody of a team is left standing in team dead match, its knocked down fighters die at once and the round ends as usual. The same happens in last man standing when only one fighter is left standing.
NEW: Leaving the game while knocked down counts as a death for the fighter who knocked you down.
NEW: Lifting someone gives 25 XP (up to 10 rewarded lifts a day, not for someone you knocked down yourself) and counts in your personal lifts number.
NEW: Team mates controlled by the game in team dead match lift a knocked down team mate when they pass by.
NEW: Game menu line "Knocked down and lifting": a short guide and your own numbers (lifts, times knocked down, times lifted).
IMPROVED: A fighter who was just lifted and is "killed" again within 30 seconds simply dies, so a fight cannot go on forever.
FIXED: Auto tracking (shift+E) no longer keeps beeping at the place where a player used to be after he walked away, was respawned, teleported, changed map or left.
FIXED: Auto tracking now finds a player who is standing still when you walk up to him; before, he only appeared after he moved.
FIXED: Auto tracking no longer beeps at the spot where you yourself logged in.
FIXED: Auto tracking follows freedom fight fighters and other non-player characters correctly, and forgets them when they are gone.
FIXED: A player's position is corrected within about a second after he stops, even on a bad connection where some movement packets are lost.
FIXED: In the lobby, other players' positions and nearby sounds reach you again after you come back from a match.
FIXED: A staff member who turns hidden mode on disappears from everybody's tracker at once, and is heard again by everybody after turning it off.
IMPROVED: With the next client build, auto tracking ignores the player you are watching and players who are dead or invisible.
IMPROVED: Server lag: the empty server uses about a quarter of the processor time it used before, and a busy fight about half, so actions and sounds arrive more evenly.
IMPROVED: Bullet shell sounds no longer slow the server down during heavy shooting.
IMPROVED: Freedom fight airdrops no longer play the long parachute sound. A supply helicopter brings the crate, you hear it over the drop point for the whole approach, and you hear the crate hit the ground.
NEW: Freedom fight airdrops call out "lands in 10 seconds" with the direction, so you know when to move.
FIXED: The extraction helicopter sound in freedom fight no longer piles up on itself and no longer keeps playing long after the helicopter has left.
FIXED: Capturing a control point could start a minute and a half of capture the flag music for players who had the announcer voice switched off. It is a short chime now.
NEW: Bandage. Heals 45 health slowly over 9 seconds, torn off when you take damage. Cheap healing between fights.
NEW: Med kit. Hold still for 3 seconds and you are at full health. Taking damage interrupts it and you keep the kit.
NEW: Energy drink. You walk and run 20 percent faster for 12 seconds.
NEW: Ammo box. Two full magazines for each weapon in your hands, whatever they are. No more weapons without ammo in the store.
NEW: Decoy. Put it down and walk away, it fires fake gunshots from that spot for 20 seconds.
NEW: Footstep lure. Fake footsteps walk away from you in the direction you face.
NEW: Motion sensor. Put it down and for 4 minutes it tells you, with the direction, when an enemy comes within 12 steps of it.
NEW: Trip wire. The first enemy who walks into it is stopped for 2 seconds and you are told where. No damage.
NEW: Smoke grenade. For 24 seconds nobody inside the smoke shows up on player lists, binoculars, scopes or beacons. Steps and shots are still heard.
NEW: Supply flare. In freedom fight it calls a supply helicopter to where you stand. Everybody hears it, so be ready to defend your crate. Once every 20 minutes.
NEW: Repair kit. Repairs 250 health of the motor next to you at once, sold next to the motor in the vehicles shop.
NEW: Loot locator. Tells the direction and distance of the three nearest items on the ground and of the nearest chest.
FIXED: The fire suppressant works again. Use it while you stand in a molotov fire to put the fire out. It was found in chests but did nothing.
NEW: The new items are sold in the store for zero credits, and the everyday ones are also found in map chests and in freedom fight airdrops. A paid account changes nothing about them.
NEW: Game menu line "New items: what they do and what you carry", with every item explained, your placed devices and how long they last, and how often you used each item.
FIXED: The motor is back in the store, in the vehicles category, together with the repair kit. It was missing from the store list.
IMPROVED: "See your motors" tells what a motor costs and where to buy it, and says so plainly if the store has none for sale.
IMPROVED: The scrap and trade-in value of a motor follows the price you really paid in the store.
IMPROVED: The motor menu shows how many repair kits you carry.
FIXED: The store sold the character tristan, which everybody already owns, and took the credits for a useless bag item. It now says you already have this character.
FIXED: Backpacks are no longer sold. Since the no pay to win change everybody carries the same doubled amounts, so a backpack cost credits for nothing.
FIXED: On iPhone and iPad the shops of the freedom fight map no longer show the web shop lines.
FIXED: Ten items of the event store, such as the corpse scanner, the jammer and the adrenaline shot, were in no inventory category. The category keys find them now.
NEW: Economy menu, "Store catalogue": browse every item of the store and the event store from anywhere, with its price, how many you can afford or how much you still need, and how many you carry.
NEW: Game menu line "Paid account benefits". It lists everything a paid account gives. None of it changes a fight: no extra health, damage, speed, carrying space or loot.
NEW: Paid account: kill line. A short text of your own that your victim hears.
NEW: Paid account: last words. A short text of your own that your killer hears.
NEW: Paid account: the lobby hears that you came online, at most once an hour. You can switch it off.
NEW: Paid account: a supporter tag behind your name in the who is online list and on your profile.
NEW: Paid account: "About me", a 300 character text on your profile.
NEW: Paid account: a watchlist of 25 names instead of 10.
NEW: Paid account: private notes about other players. Only you see them, on that player's profile.
NEW: Sound emotes. Play a short sound that the players around you hear. Everybody has 2, a paid account has 10.
NEW: Paid account: a combat log of 50 entries instead of 20.
NEW: Paid account: 3 extra horn sounds for your motor and bike.
NEW: Paid account: a free cosmetic crate every week.
NEW: Everybody can switch off other players' kill lines and last words, arrival announcements and sound emotes in the "Paid account benefits" menu.
NEW: Daily missions "Loot an airdrop in freedom fight", "Capture 2 control points in freedom fight" and "Use 5 items such as bandages, decoys or sensors".
NEW: Weekly missions "Get extracted 3 times in freedom fight" and "Loot 5 airdrops in freedom fight".
IMPROVED: Less stutter once a minute when many players are online: player progress is only written to disk when it really changed.
IMPROVED: The extra fighters on the freedom fight map are about half again as dangerous: they aim better, react faster, fire short bursts at long range and long ones up close, and pick the enemy they can hurt most.
IMPROVED: They use cover now: under fire they step behind a wall to reload or drink a potion, and when you hide they sometimes come around the side instead of walking straight at you.
IMPROVED: They reload when you are out of sight and swap to another loaded gun instead of reloading in a close fight. You hear the empty click, the draw and the reload like from any player.
IMPROVED: They hear like you do. Walls muffle footsteps, so behind a wall they notice you only from closer, and if you stand still and stay quiet they walk past unless they are very near. A broken window lets sound and sight through.
NEW: They shoot out windows. If one of them hears you behind a whole window, the glass breaks first, and only then can the bullets reach you.
NEW: They spend what they find. Credits from chests and a small pay for each kill go on magazines, potions and grenades at the shop tiles, at the store prices.
NEW: They take and hold control points. A point is contested while one of them stands in it, and you can take it back from them like from any player.
NEW: A knocked down player is not shot at any more. If nobody comes to help, a fighter with nothing else to do walks over after a few seconds and ends it.
NEW: Fire and falls hurt them like they hurt you: they run out of a molotov fire, and a long fall costs them health with the same hard landing sound.
NEW: Staff can set how good the extra fighters are with /npc skill and a number from 1, easy, to 5, very hard. 4 is the normal level.
NEW: Staff can let the extra fighters fight in factions with /npc teams 2, 3 or 4. Faction mates do not shoot each other. /npc teams 0 is everyone for themselves again.
FIXED: The aim beep no longer sounds for one of the extra fighters who is behind a wall.
FIXED: A rare server error when a stray bullet of one of the extra fighters destroyed a group base.
NEW: Bots in the seven new match modes: the create match menu now asks "Would you like to add bot in this match" for battle royale, search and destroy, team deathmatch, kill confirmed, hardpoint, gun game and infected, exactly as for the older modes, in public and private matches.
NEW: With bots on you can start a new-mode match alone: the empty seats are filled at the start, every team up to the size you chose, solo modes up to the number of members you chose, and you hear who joined.
NEW: Bots play the mode: in battle royale they pick up loot, move into the safe zone in time and fight; in search and destroy attackers go to a site and plant the spike and guard it, defenders guard both sites and defuse; in kill confirmed they collect the tags of their kills and deny the tags of their own team; in hardpoint they go to the hill and hold it; in gun game they climb the weapon ladder with every kill; in infected the infected hunt with the sword and the survivors keep away and shoot.
NEW: Bots count in the score like everybody else: kills, deaths, confirmed tags, seconds on the hill, planted and defused spikes, gun game levels, infections.
NEW: Bots sound like players: footsteps, drawing a weapon, shots and distant shots, reloading, pain, death, drinking a potion, doors and the radar beep. They walk one step at a time, never through walls and never out of the play area, use doors, and only shoot when nothing is in the way.
NEW: In team deathmatch a bot of your team comes to lift you when you are knocked down. Enemy bots do not keep shooting a knocked down player; one that stands next to you finishes you.
NEW: When a player of a team leaves a running match with bots, a bot takes the seat.
NEW: A battle royale with bots ends when the last real player is out, and you hear your place.
IMPROVED: Killing a bot in the new modes counts as a bot kill and for your kill streak, but gives no zero credits, no score points and no XP. Match rewards and match records still need at least two different real players.
IMPROVED: New team matches without bots even out teams that differ by two or more players at the start: the players who joined last change sides and are told.
IMPROVED: Watching a match starts on a real player who is alive.
IMPROVED: The new modes use much less server time while players wait to respawn.
FIXED: Search and destroy and battle royale: when the last two players killed each other, the whole match was thrown away with "No one won". It is now simply the result of that round, or a draw in battle royale.
FIXED: A short disconnect in a one against one match, or of a whole team, ended the match at once. You now have the normal minute to come back.
FIXED: Team deathmatch and kill confirmed: when both teams reached the target in the same instant the match was called a draw. The team that got there first wins.
FIXED: Battle royale and search and destroy could decide the round an instant before a death was counted, so the death message and the place were missing.
FIXED: Cancelling a match while one of its members was offline removed an unrelated player from the match he was playing.
FIXED: Joining a match whose creator was offline used the ban list of another player.
FIXED: Razeon, Shadow, Hex, Supreme and Lord were completely silent: no pain, death or kill voice. They use the common voice set for now, and each of them gets a voice of their own with the next sound pack.
New in 30/09/2026 (fifth update of the day): a completely new freedom fight map, the city of Brackenford, with breakable windows.
NEW: The freedom fight map is a completely new city, Brackenford (600 by 600): a central square (Meridian Plaza) with a fountain, the three-storey Halcyon Arcade north of it, the Thornwood forest in the west, the Silverrun Canal with five bridges, the Ironmill Works with a rail yard, a foundry and warehouses in the south, a hospital, a school, a chapel, a hotel tower, a town hall, a guard post, a library, a farm and a wide meadow in the north.
NEW: About 60 buildings can be entered, 30 of them family houses: every house has a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with furniture you can take cover behind or jump onto; some have an upper floor or a cellar.
NEW: Real stairs everywhere: walk up and down between floors, up to the roofs of the big buildings and down into the underground. Ladders lead to the water tower, the radio mast, the bell tower and several roofs.
NEW: The Underline, an underground railway tunnel under Lantern Avenue with three stations (Westgate, Plaza, Eastmarket), a forest bunker, cellars and a hospital basement.
NEW: Windows: houses, shops and offices have 735 glass windows. Break one and you can shoot, look and climb through the opening; the glass comes back after a while.
NEW: Tanner's Market south east of the plaza holds all seven shops in market booths: general store, equipment, weapons, explosives, potions, ammunition and vehicles.
NEW: Every street, square, building and room has its own name, and about 100 landmarks can be tracked: every building entrance, the bridges, the street junctions, the shops, the metro entrances and the supply stations.
NEW: Every room sounds like its size: small rooms, tiled bathrooms, long corridors, stone halls, big warehouses, the echoing metro tunnel and the space under the bridges. Street and forest ambience stays outside when you enter a building.
NEW: About 220 chests are spread over the whole map: in houses, offices, wards, cellars, warehouses, the metro, the forest and the streets.
NEW: Eight control points (Meridian Plaza, Halcyon Arcade, Saint Verena Hospital, Brassworks Foundry, Cinder Rail Yard, Larkfield school yard, Hotel Aurelia, Rookery Park) and five supply stations along the streets.
NEW: Open ground for big fights with cover: the plaza, the market, Exchange Court, the school yard, Rookery Park, the container yard, the rail yard and Northfield Meadow, where the helicopter drops you.
IMPROVED: No more holes or bare walls: every table, crate, car, tree and wall has a top you can land on, and no place on the map can trap you.
IMPROVED: Vehicles now drive correctly up and down every staircase, also the ones that rise toward the south or the west.
IMPROVED: Walking up stairs that rise toward the south no longer lifts you one step too early (next game version).
IMPROVED: Rain no longer turns earth floors under a roof into mud.
NEW: Breakable windows on the freedom fight map. Shoot a window, hit it with a knife, sword or any other melee or thrown weapon, and the glass shatters with a breaking sound everyone nearby hears.
NEW: A broken window is a real opening: your next bullets fly through it, you can hit and be hit through it, and you can walk or throw a grenade through it.
NEW: Grenades smash windows too. A thrown grenade breaks the glass it hits and keeps flying into the room, and an explosion breaks every window within 8 squares.
NEW: Broken glass stays on the floor of the opening, so you hear the crunch when anyone steps through a broken window.
NEW: Windows repair themselves after 5 minutes with a soft glass sound. A window never closes while somebody is standing in the opening.
NEW: Players who arrive on the map later find every window exactly as it is at that moment, broken or whole.
IMPROVED: The freedom fight events follow the new city: control points, supply stations, airdrops, red zones and extraction zones are all at the new city's own places, with its new names.
IMPROVED: Airdrops and extraction helicopters only come down on free open ground: never in the canal or the pond, never inside a building, never on top of a chest.
IMPROVED: The store and the category stalls (equipments, weapons, explosives, potions, vehicles, ammos) are at their new places in the new city. Press Enter on a stall as before.
IMPROVED: The freedom fight helicopter now flies over the new city's landing grounds, and when you die on the map you come back in the helicopter over them.
IMPROVED: Choose your drop zone in the helicopter: every control point, every district and the active airdrop or extraction zone of the new city can be picked, and the helicopter brings you over free ground next to it.
IMPROVED: If the helicopter carries you past the edge of the city, your jump still lands inside the map.
IMPROVED: Where am I and the area report use the new districts, streets and building names of the new city, and tell you when you are on a bridge or in the water.
IMPROVED: The compass gives the right height for places on upper floors, and the guide beacon leads you there.
IMPROVED: The extra fighters on the freedom fight map know the new city: they walk up and down staircases step by step like you do, visit the upper floors of buildings, loot the chests up there, cross the canal only on the bridges and stay out of the water.
IMPROVED: They parachute only onto the city's landing grounds, and they walk around group base entrances instead of through them.
IMPROVED: When the freedom fight map is replaced, everything left lying on the old map (old chests, ground items, corpses, barricades, ladders, mines, time bombs and C4 charges) is cleared, so nothing from the old city is stuck inside the new walls.
IMPROVED: Group bases are kept with everything in them. A base whose entrance would be inside a wall or outside the new city gets a new entrance on free ground; the new coordinates are written in your group's action log.
IMPROVED: Bikes parked on the old map are kept and moved to free ground on the new map.
IMPROVED: If you logged out on the old freedom fight map at a place that is now a wall or outside the city, you start on free ground of the new city with all your items, and the game tells you.
IMPROVED: If you ever fall out of the world on the freedom fight map, you are put back on free ground.
New in 30/09/2026 (fourth update of the day): the freedom fight city is never empty, and menu buttons work again.
IMPROVED: Buttons of a menu you come back to (after closing a submenu) now always work; before, some of them silently did nothing.
NEW: The freedom fight city is never empty: staff can bring in extra fighters who arrive by helicopter and parachute onto the streets like everyone else.
NEW: The extra fighters walk the city tile by tile at normal speed, respect every wall, chest and barricade, climb the ladders, use the bridges over the stream and never swim or fall far.
NEW: They loot like you do: they take useful items from the map chests one at a time, pick up guns, ammo and potions from the ground, search corpses and go for landed airdrops, so a chest you hear may already be emptied.
NEW: They hear footsteps near them and gunshots from far away, and come to look where the fighting is.
NEW: They fight like players: they need a moment to react, they miss more at long range and on moving targets, they need a clear line of sight, they duck when you duck and they reload.
NEW: They pick their best weapon for the distance, drink potions when hurt, throw grenades and molotovs now and then, run away when they are losing and jump to dodge.
NEW: They leave the red zone before the shells land and refill ammo at the supply stations.
NEW: When they fall they drop a corpse with everything they carried and the gun in their hands, just like a player, and they come back later by helicopter.
NEW: The kill feed, the look around list, the radar beeps, the near you alerts and the freedom fight player list treat them like every other fighter.
NEW: Taking one down counts for your kill streak, gives a score point at most every 5 minutes and sometimes a zero credit, with a small daily limit.
NEW: Staff command /npc turns the extra freedom fight fighters on or off, /npc and a number from 0 to 30 sets how many, /npc status tells who is on the map. The setting is kept after a restart.
New in 30/09/2026 (sound update): a new announcer voice and 77 new sounds.
Restart the game once to download them; only the new sounds are downloaded, not the whole pack.
NEW: An arena announcer voice calls out your big moments: double, triple, quad and mega kill, first blood, rampage, unstoppable, godlike, legendary, shutdown, revenge, comeback, long shot and nemesis.
NEW: Every match starts with a spoken "three, two, one" countdown and "Match start!", and ends with "Victory!" or "Defeat" over a new win fanfare or loss sting, in every mode, old and new.
NEW: Search and destroy speaks for itself: "Spike planted", "Spike defused", "Spike detonated", "You won the round", "You lost the round", "Sides switched", "Last round", and a three, two, one before each round starts.
NEW: The spike has its own arming beeps when it is planted and a click sequence when it is defused, heard at the spike itself.
NEW: Hardpoint: the hill sends out a sonar ping you can follow by ear, a soft tick while your team scores, and the announcer tells you when the hill moves, is contested, is captured by your team, or is lost to the enemy.
NEW: Kill confirmed: picking up a tag plays a bright chime, and every fifth tag you confirm the announcer says "Tags collected".
NEW: Gun game: "Gun level up!" with every new weapon and "Final weapon!" when you reach the knife.
NEW: Infected: a five to one countdown before the infection starts, a dark sting when it begins, "You are infected!" when you turn, and "Last survivor!" when only one survivor is left.
NEW: Battle royale: a siren and "The zone is closing!" when the safe zone starts to shrink, a low storm rumble while you stand in the storm, and "Get to the safe zone!" as a reminder.
NEW: Freedom fight: "Airdrop incoming", a parachute whoosh just before it touches down, a heavy crate impact, then "Airdrop landed".
NEW: Freedom fight: "Red zone incoming" when a bombardment is announced, "Extraction available" with a flare you can hear from far away, and "Extraction complete" when you make it out.
NEW: Freedom fight control points: capture ticks while you take a point, a bell chime and "Point captured" when it is yours, and "Point lost" when someone takes your point.
NEW: Freedom fight supply stations play a refill sound when they restock you.
NEW: The announcer also says "Level up", "Promoted", "Demoted", "Mission complete", "Achievement unlocked", "Bounty claimed", "Most wanted", "Event starting", "Double XP active", "Weapon of the day" and "New season".
NEW: New jingles for Season Pass tiers, crate unlocks, kill milestones, a full set of daily missions and your group's daily goal, plus a rising stinger when you are two kills away from a streak milestone.
NEW: A soft tick when you earn XP, for players who have spoken XP notices on.
NEW: The announcer never talks over itself: when several lines come at once they are spoken one after another, and old news is dropped.
NEW: You can turn the announcer voice off for yourself in Combat feedback, Announcement settings; you then hear the classic sounds instead. Your spoken messages stay the same either way.
NEW: Staff can switch the whole new sound pack on or off for the server from the staff event control menu; while it is off, everyone hears the classic sounds, so nothing is ever silent.
New in 30/09/2026 (third update of the day): motors are back, smoother than ever.
IMPROVED: Motors are back in the store and on by default. The lag they used to cause is fixed at its roots, and staff can still switch them off for everyone from See your motors.
IMPROVED: A driving motor no longer floods everyone on the map with updates. It now sends about 30 times fewer messages, so the game stays smooth for everybody, also on phones.
IMPROVED: Players on other maps and in the lobby no longer receive a message for every tile someone else drives on a motor or bike.
IMPROVED: Holding the up arrow in a motor no longer sends the engine sound to the whole map many times a second. Riders still hear every change right away, and players nearby hear it smoothly.
IMPROVED: The engine sound of a moving motor stays in the right place for players nearby. Players further away on the map get its position every 2 seconds, and everyone hears where it stopped.
IMPROVED: With the next game update, your game no longer rechecks the whole map when a motor, bike or chest moves. It only rechecks the squares that changed, so footsteps, falls and wall checks stay fast near traffic.
IMPROVED: With the next game update, a moving sound, like a motor engine, is no longer played twice when you enter a map where it is already running.
IMPROVED: Bike rides are lighter for everyone. Each push plays its sound once where you land instead of starting a new moving sound that followed you for 9 seconds.
IMPROVED: Riders are still heard where they are by players nearby and by anyone spectating them.
NEW: With the next game update, press F12 anywhere in the game for a quick menu of all the new features.
New in 30/09/2026 (second update of the day): new match modes, a bigger freedom fight, new weapons, better motors and bikes.
The new features are now separate lines of the game menu instead of one Zero Plus menu.
New match modes (Battle royale, Search and destroy, Team deathmatch, Kill confirmed, Hardpoint, Gun game, Infected):
NEW: Battle royale match mode: everyone starts with only a pistol, weapons, ammo and potions lie on the ground to loot, last one standing wins.
NEW: Battle royale safe zone: it shrinks in six phases, the next zone's center and size are announced with a beacon sound, and the storm outside it hurts more every phase.
NEW: Battle royale storm guidance: while you are in the storm you hear a warning beep every second and are told how far and in which direction the safe zone is.
NEW: Battle royale eliminations are announced with the number of players left, and every eliminated player hears their final place.
NEW: Search and destroy match mode: rounds without respawn, attackers plant the spike by standing 5 seconds on site A or site B, defenders defuse it by standing 7 seconds next to it.
NEW: Search and destroy spike: it beeps faster as its 40 second fuse runs down, with 20 and 10 second warnings; wiping out the other team also wins the round.
NEW: Search and destroy flow: a short frozen start each round, sides swap after round 3, first team to 4 rounds wins, and players who died come back for the next round.
NEW: Search and destroy sites and bases are listed in the zone tracker so you can walk straight to them.
NEW: Team deathmatch match mode: respawn a few seconds after every death, first team to 30 kills or the best team after 10 minutes wins.
NEW: Kill confirmed match mode: every death drops a beeping tag, your team scores only by picking up the tags of enemies you killed, and picking up your own team's tags denies the enemy.
NEW: Hardpoint match mode: hold the hill with your team for a point a second, the hill beeps and moves every 60 seconds, first to 100 points wins.
NEW: Hardpoint hills are listed in the zone tracker, and you hear when you step on or leave the hill, when it is contested and which team holds it.
NEW: Gun game match mode: every kill instantly gives you the next of 10 weapons, the last one is the knife and the first knife kill wins; a fall or a self kill costs a level.
NEW: Infected match mode: after 10 seconds one player becomes infected with a sword, every survivor they kill joins the infected, survivors win if one of them lasts 4 minutes.
NEW: Infected last survivor: the last one standing is announced to everyone and gets a vitality potion.
NEW: In respawn modes you come back automatically after a few seconds with the mode's own equipment, without the death menu.
NEW: Every new mode gives everyone the same fixed equipment, so matches are decided by skill only.
NEW: The new modes are in the normal create match menus, both public and private, and they start with as few as two players or one player per team.
NEW: Joining a new mode tells you its rules, and the match start tells you your team and goal.
NEW: Regular spoken score and time updates in every new mode, never more than one message a second.
NEW: The match info key tells you the score, the time left and your own kills and deaths in the new modes.
NEW: Match modes guide in the game menu: the rules of every new mode, your current match, your wins per mode, and a way to leave a running match.
NEW: Finishing a new-mode match gives zero credits and XP, more for the winners, with a daily limit of rewarded matches and no reward for very short or single-player matches.
IMPROVED: Older match modes now tell you every minute how many players or team members are still alive, and how big the play area is while it shrinks.
NEW: A waiting new-mode match closes by itself when its creator leaves, and the other players go back to the lobby.
Freedom fight map:
NEW: Freedom fight has its own line in the game menu: airdrops, red zones, control points, extraction, compass and map events.
NEW: Supply airdrops fall on the freedom fight map every 6 to 9 minutes while people are playing there, announced 30 seconds before they land.
NEW: Every freedom fight announcement tells you where it is from you: steps, compass direction and clock position from the way you face.
NEW: You can follow an airdrop by ear: a plane passes over the drop point and the crate lands with a loud long range sound.
NEW: Airdrops come in three tiers: common, rare and epic, each with better loot.
NEW: Airdrop loot is fair for everyone: ammo, potions, grenades, armour and the weapons of the free map chests, never items from the paid shop.
NEW: The first player to reach a crate takes it with Enter (phones pick it up automatically).
NEW: The whole map hears who looted the airdrop, and the looter earns XP.
NEW: Hot drop alert: when several players close in on a landed airdrop, the map hears that a fight is on.
NEW: An airdrop nobody claims disappears after 6 minutes, and the map is told.
NEW: Red zone bombardment every 10 to 15 minutes: a part of the city is announced and bombarded 20 seconds later.
NEW: Personal red zone warnings: you hear whether you are inside, which way to run and how many steps to the edge, with a countdown at 10 and 5 seconds.
NEW: The red zone is fair: three shell waves of moderate damage only inside the circle, the underground canal is a safe shelter, and players who just landed from the helicopter are spared.
NEW: Red zone sounds: an alarm, the launch, shell impacts across the circle and a hit sound when a shell catches you.
NEW: Eight control points at famous places of the city: the tavern, the nightclub, the supermarket, the defense tower, the long factory, the police station, the hospital and the pet shop.
NEW: Capture a control point by standing in it without enemies for 20 seconds, 30 seconds if another player holds it.
NEW: Contested control points: the capture pauses while enemies share the point, and your group mates count as allies.
NEW: Capture callouts: you hear your progress, the map hears who took a point, and the holder is warned when someone is taking theirs.
NEW: Held control points pay their holder 1 zero credit and XP every 2 minutes, up to a daily limit.
NEW: Control points turn neutral again when their holder's side has been away from the map for 5 minutes.
NEW: Helicopter extraction every 15 to 20 minutes: reach the landing zone within 2 minutes and stay 5 seconds to bank the kills of your life for zero credits and XP.
NEW: The extraction helicopter can be heard over its landing zone, and the map hears who made it out.
NEW: Supply stations on four streets of the city: stand on one for 3 seconds to refill the ammo of the weapon in your hand and get a small potion, every 5 minutes. A beep marks each station.
NEW: Freedom fight compass: direction and distance to the airdrop, the extraction, the red zone, any control point and the nearest supply station.
NEW: Guide beacon: after a compass choice, a beacon sound pings from the target every 2 seconds until you reach it.
NEW: Where am I: the name of the place you are in, the nearest landmark and your coordinates.
NEW: Area report: how many players are in each part of the city, without names.
NEW: Map status report every 4 minutes: players alive, the busiest area, how many control points are held and what is happening.
NEW: Choose your drop zone from the helicopter: it flies you over the place you pick and tells you when to jump.
NEW: Helicopter passengers hear airdrop, red zone and extraction news too, so they can plan their jump.
NEW: Landing briefing: when you arrive on the map you hear the events that are running right now.
NEW: Daily freedom fight leaderboard with kills, captures, airdrops, extractions and a combined score.
NEW: Kill leader: the map hears when someone becomes the kill leader of the day.
NEW: Daily champion: yesterday's number one of freedom fight is announced and earns the Freedom Champion title.
NEW: Your freedom fight record: today and all time, your best life, red zone deaths and your longest survival.
NEW: Freedom fight badges: Airdrop Hunter, Point Taker and Extraction Pro.
NEW: Survival milestones: staying alive and active for 5, 10 and 20 minutes on the map gives XP.
NEW: Weather and time of day on the freedom fight map: rain, dawn, dusk and night are announced.
NEW: Freedom fight settings: turn status reports, weather messages and capture callouts of other players on or off.
NEW: Event schedule: hear how long until the next airdrop, red zone and extraction.
NEW: Staff can start an airdrop of any tier, a red zone or an extraction on the spot, end all events and reset the control points.
IMPROVED: Freedom fight rewards are protected: repeated kills of the same player do not count, recaptures of the same point pay nothing for 15 minutes, and daily credit limits apply.

IMPROVED: Weapon mastery progress is shown in the weapon inspect and in the weapon guide menu.
IMPROVED: The weapon info key now tells the real damage of the Mosin Nagant, Smith and Wesson Model 66, MKEK JNG-90 and the knife.
IMPROVED: Picking up the new weapons and their ammo plays a proper pickup sound.
IMPROVED: Weapon leaderboards count at most 3 kills of the same player per 10 minutes; hidden and self kills never count.
Motors and bikes:
IMPROVED: Motors are back: staff can switch them on for everyone from See your motors, and they now run on a sturdier engine that never loses a rider, a seat or a motor.
IMPROVED: Parked motors now survive a server restart.
NEW: Press H while driving or riding a motor for a dashboard: health, speed in tiles per second, gear, heading, driver, passengers, free seats, nitro and odometer, plus your own health.
NEW: Motor health warnings at 50, 25 and 10 percent, and under 25 percent you can hear the damaged engine crackle.
NEW: Parked motor alarm: when someone damages your parked motor it sounds an alarm and you are told where it is.
NEW: Theft alert: you are told when somebody else drives off with your motor.
NEW: Motor locks: open to everyone, your team and group only, or only you.
NEW: Passenger announcements: who got on or off, how many seats are taken, who drives, and when you become the driver.
IMPROVED: A player hit by a motor is now credited to the person driving it, not to its owner.
IMPROVED: Ramming damage and wall crash damage now depend on your speed.
NEW: Anti-farming for vehicle hits: the same driver can hurt the same player or bot at most 3 times in 10 minutes, players are safe from vehicles for 5 seconds after they respawn, and spectators and hidden staff are never hit.
NEW: Crash reports: after a crash you hear how fast you hit the wall and how much health the motor has left, and at speed you are warned about a wall close ahead.
IMPROVED: Ramming someone who sits on another motor now damages that motor and throws only that rider off, instead of throwing the rammer's owner off.
NEW: Nitro: every 250 tiles you drive fill one charge, up to 3. Press Enter while moving for 5 seconds of extra speed, then 20 seconds to cool down. Nitro cannot be bought.
NEW: Choose your horn: four horn sounds for motors and four for bikes.
NEW: Repair your motor: stand next to it with the engine off, 50 health a second, 1 zero credit for every 100 health, and you only pay for what was repaired.
NEW: Garage: a motor parked in a group base slowly repairs itself for free.
IMPROVED: A badly damaged motor, under 10 percent, can fail to start until you repair it.
NEW: Motor locator: direction, distance and height of each of your motors, with a 3D sound beacon on the nearest one for 20 seconds.
NEW: Give your motor or bike a name that is used in its dashboard and menus.
NEW: Trade-in: when a match ends and its map closes, your motor goes back to the dealer and you get up to half its price back, depending on its health, even if you were offline.
NEW: Motor insurance: once a day you can restore a motor that was destroyed in the last 24 hours for 10 zero credits.
NEW: Scrap a motor for up to half its price. Every player can own 2 motors at a time.
NEW: Sprint trials for motors (150, 300 and 600 tiles) and bikes (200 and 500 tiles) on any map: a countdown, personal bests, top 10 leaderboards, record news for the map, and 2 zero credits for your first finish of each trial every day.
NEW: Vehicle statistics: distance, top speed, rides, crashes, rams, kills, motors bought, lost and destroyed, repairs, nitros, horns and best trial times.
IMPROVED: News of a destroyed motor now goes only to players on that map instead of the whole server, the owner always learns who destroyed it, also after logging back in, and the motor history keeps it.
IMPROVED: A motor or bike burned by a molotov fire now ends cleanly: riders are thrown off, the owner is told, and it no longer stays behind as a silent obstacle.
NEW: Vehicles near you: every motor and bike within 100 tiles with its direction, distance, health and riders.
NEW: Staff tools in See your motors: switch motors on or off, list every motor on the server and remove one.
IMPROVED: Bikes now have health: a crash damages the bike and throws you off instead of making the bike disappear, and hitting water sounds like water.
NEW: Bike gears: slow always brakes before walls and water, normal is the old speed, fast covers more ground but crashes harder.
IMPROVED: Bike speed is now the same for everybody; a modified game can no longer ride faster.
NEW: Bike dashboard on H, bike locator with a sound beacon, bike locks, a switch for the parked bike horn, a free bike fix once a minute, and sending a bike away.
IMPROVED: Every player can have up to 3 bikes (a new one replaces your oldest parked bike), bikes left on closed match maps are cleared away, a parked bike is heard where it really stands, and being moved to another map takes you off your bike properly.
Improvements to the Zero Plus features:
IMPROVED: Everything Zero Plus says about one kill now comes as one short message with one sound, instead of up to five separate messages.
IMPROVED: Zero Plus never speaks to you more than once per second; extra news waits a moment and is joined into the next message.
IMPROVED: Two level ups at the same moment are announced once, with your new level.
IMPROVED: Spoken XP notices add up to a single "Plus N XP" per kill or match.
IMPROVED: Once per login you hear one summary, "While you were away", with rested XP, saved credits, ranked payouts, challenge rewards, missions left, Season Pass rewards, the daily calendar, friends online, the running event and the tip of the day.
IMPROVED: On your first login of a new week the summary adds a weekly recap: last week's kills, match wins and weekly missions.
IMPROVED: Statistics now track your matches: played, won, lost, win rate and wins per mode.
IMPROVED: Match win streaks: 3, 5, 10 and more wins in a row are announced, and your best win streak is a personal record.
IMPROVED: Match MVP: the player with the most kills in a match is announced to everyone in that match when it ends; a tie gives no MVP.
IMPROVED: New leaderboards: most match wins, weekly match wins and longest match win streak; last week's champions include match wins.
IMPROVED: Match XP: 40 XP for a win, 12 for playing, 20 for the match MVP and a 50 XP first win of the day bonus; the new match modes keep their own win rewards.
IMPROVED: New daily missions: win 2 matches, play 3 matches, win a team match, win a free for all match.
IMPROVED: New weekly missions: win 10 matches, play 15 matches, win a battle royale, be the match MVP 3 times, get 40 rifle kills, get 25 shotgun kills.
IMPROVED: New Matches achievements with new titles: First Victory, Winner, Champion, Conqueror, Match Regular, Arena Veteran, Most Valuable, Star Player, Hot Hand, Dominant and Royale Victor.
IMPROVED: The challenge of the week can now be to win matches together.
IMPROVED: Ranked play: a match win adds a little rating and a loss takes a little, up to 10 rated matches a day and only against real players; your season match record is on the rank card.
IMPROVED: Weapon mastery for every weapon, the new ones included: bronze at 25 kills, silver at 100, gold at 500 with a weapon master title.
IMPROVED: The new AK-47, MPT-76, Tayfun and M1 Garand count as rifles and the KS-123 as a shotgun for missions, mastery and the weekly challenge; weapons added later are sorted into a class by their name.
IMPROVED: Weapons are spoken with their proper names in kill messages, death recaps, statistics and mastery.
IMPROVED: Statistics show your kills and deaths per weapon class.
IMPROVED: Match arenas count under their real map name in per-map statistics, the map explorer, who is online and server info; your old per-map statistics were merged.
IMPROVED: The map explorer achievements no longer count every match arena and waiting room as a new map.
IMPROVED: The first blood of every match is called out.
IMPROVED: Shorter death recap, for example: "Killed by Bravo, AK-47, 12 steps. Bravo has 40 health left."
IMPROVED: Your killer's kill signature is only a sound when you already hear the death recap, so the name is not read twice.
IMPROVED: Revenge kills are called out once; they used to be announced twice.
IMPROVED: The ranked rank card, your leaderboard positions and the ranked help are one message or one list instead of several messages in a row.
IMPROVED: Cosmetic crate progress is spoken once, 10 kills before your next crate, instead of every 10 kills; a match win counts as 5 kills toward a crate.
IMPROVED: Friends see your match wins and MVPs in the activity feed, and a group member's match win counts as 3 kills toward the group's daily goal.
IMPROVED: Shorter menus: Statistics 8 lines instead of 13, Missions 7 instead of 13, Progress 7 instead of 12, Economy 7 instead of 13, Social 7 instead of 9, Events and help 6 instead of 10, Combat 5 instead of 7; rarely used items moved into submenus.
IMPROVED: Short, clear names for the Zero Plus lines of the game menu.
IMPROVED: The mission lists now hold the reroll and a next mission tip, and the tips cover the new match missions.
IMPROVED: The weapon guide in Events and help lists the five new weapons and the mission class of every weapon; the game modes guide explains battle royale and match rewards; two new questions in the FAQ.
IMPROVED: The ranked fair-play guard no longer forgets recent kills when you meet many different players.
IMPROVED: A match without a winner is not counted as a loss and does not break your win streak.
IMPROVED: Matches against bots or alone do not count for statistics, missions or rewards, and hidden staff are never announced.
New in 30/09/2026: Zero Plus, the biggest update of Zero Hour Assault.
Open it from the game menu: Zero Plus. 100 improvements to existing features and 100 brand new features, all listed below.
No more pay to win:
Every character now has the same health, speed, jump and damage (180 health, 16 plus damage, razeon's speed). Characters are a voice and identity choice, not an advantage.
A paid account no longer gives 30 extra health, instant weapon draw, unlimited inventory limits, faster chest looting, double credits or double score points. Premium now gives cosmetics, titles, badges, a premium Season Pass track, 25 percent more XP and a small daily bonus.
Carrying limits for potions, explosives and ammo are the same for everyone (double the old base limit). Nothing you already carry is taken away.
Fixed: a modified client could fire weapons it did not have.
Combat feedback:

IMPROVED: Beating a player who has killed you 3 or more times this session is called out as a nemesis kill.

Store
Zero Credits are the game's currency. You earn them by playing: kills in matches, finished matches, missions, control points, extractions and level rewards. You spend them in the in-game store on weapons, ammunition, equipment, potions, vehicles and characters.
Zero Credits
Short on time? The web shop offers Zero Credits that are added to your account. They buy the same things as the credits you earn in play, at the same prices.
Paid account
A way to support the game and get some comfort in return: a kill line and last words of your own, a supporter tag, an About me text on your profile, more sound emotes and horn sounds, a longer watchlist and combat log, an extra mission reroll, a weekly cosmetic reward and the premium cosmetic track of the Season Pass.
Fair play
No purchase raises your damage or your health. Everything that matters in a fight can be earned by playing, and every character has the same strength. The new match modes hand everyone the same equipment.
Install the game for your platform from the download section. On the first start the game downloads its sounds by itself.
Create an account from the game's main menu: a name, a password and an e-mail address that you can reach. The e-mail address is how you get back in if you ever lose your password or change your device.
Put on headphones. Everything in the game is placed around you in sound: left, right, in front, behind, above and below.
Walk around the lobby, open the game menu with O and read the guides there. The game menu also holds the rules of every match mode.
Play. Join or create a match from the lobby, or take the helicopter into freedom fight.

Questions and answers
Is the game really free?
Yes. You can download it, create an account and play every mode without paying. The currency of the store is earned by playing.
Can I buy an advantage?
No purchase raises your damage or your health, and every character has the same strength. Paying saves time and adds comfort and cosmetics. A player who never pays can earn everything that matters in a fight.
Do I need a screen reader?
The game speaks through your screen reader when one is running, and through built-in speech when not. On Android, iPhone and iPad it works with touch gestures.
Do Windows and mobile players play together?
Not at the moment. Windows has one server, and Android, iPhone and iPad share another. That is why this page shows two player lists and two sets of scoreboards.
Can I play when nobody else is online?
Yes. Matches can be filled with computer-controlled fighters, and the freedom fight city has fighters of its own when it would otherwise be empty. Rewards and records that count against other players still need real opponents.
What do I need to play?
A Windows computer, an Android phone or tablet, or an iPhone or iPad, an internet connection, and stereo headphones. A microphone if you want to use voice chat.
When can I download it?
Soon. The buttons in the download section at the top of this page become links on the day each version is released.
Where can I read the privacy policy, or delete my account?
