Terms for the music bot, the rented TeamTalk servers and internet radio hosting

What you are paying for

One bot, hosted and run by AudioWander, connecting to one TeamTalk server that you give us the details for. The price is £9.99 for each month. Payment is taken in advance through Stripe or PayPal; we never see or store your card details.

If you rent a TeamTalk server

You get a TeamTalk 5 server of your own on our machine, on a port that is yours alone, with the number of simultaneous users and the file space of the plan you chose. You are its administrator: channels, users, bans and rights are yours to set. We keep the program updated, restart the server if it stops, and keep a copy of its configuration every night for fourteen days.

The file space is a hard limit set on the server itself; when it is full, uploads into your channels stop until you delete something. If you need more, move to a bigger plan and we adjust it without losing anything. We may move your server to a different port only if we have to (a port conflict or an attack), and we tell you first whenever that is possible.

The same month, the same reminder and the same sixty day keeping period apply as below. A suspended server is stopped, not deleted: channels, users and files wait for you.

You may point a domain name of your own at your server, and the panel explains how. The domain name stays yours and stays your responsibility: what it is used for is up to you, and when you stop renting the server we ask you to remove the record that sends it to us.

A server and a music bot together

A server and bot bundle is one service on one bill: both run until the same day and are renewed together at the bundle price. We create the bot's own account on your server; please do not delete it, or the bot cannot log in. If a bundle is not renewed, the server and the bot stop together.

Server add-ons

Add-ons (backup restore, channel recording, VPN and proxy protection) are bought for the days left until your server's renewal date and from then on are part of the server's monthly price. If you switch one off it keeps working until the date you have paid for and is not renewed; days already paid are not refunded.

Backup restore replaces your server's channels, user accounts, bans and settings with the copy of the night you choose. We keep a copy of the state just before the restore so it can be undone; uploaded files are not part of a backup.

Channel recording. You decide when and which channel is recorded, and you are the one responsible for it. Our recorder always shows itself as "Recorder (this channel is being recorded)" and writes a notice into the channel when it starts; you must not hide, rename or disguise it, and you must tell the people in the channel that they are being recorded. In many countries recording a conversation needs the consent of everyone in it: it is your responsibility to have that consent and to follow the law where you and your users live. Recordings are stored on our machine only for you, count against the recording space of your plan, and are deleted automatically after 30 days (or earlier, when you delete them).

VPN and proxy protection checks the address of each person who logs in against a public database of VPNs, proxies, data centres and countries. Such databases are sometimes wrong. The protection never bans anyone: it disconnects the connection it would refuse, and you can let anyone in with the allow list. We look up only the IP address, and keep the answers for three days.

Internet radio hosting

You get a radio station on our machine: a stream address, an AutoDJ that plays the music you upload, a login for live DJs, and the number of listeners and storage of your plan. Listener numbers above the plan's limit are refused by the server.

What you broadcast is your responsibility. We provide the technical service only and do not license any music. Broadcasting music to the public usually needs licences from the music licensing bodies of the countries involved (for example PRS for Music and PPL in the United Kingdom). You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload or broadcast. We may take a station off the air without a refund, and remove the files, when we receive a credible complaint that it broadcasts material without the rights, or when it is used for anything unlawful. The addresses you give the AutoDJ must be public streams or files you may relay. This covers live shows too, including those from the "Go live from your browser" page and those of co-DJs you add there: they broadcast under your responsibility. One DJ can be live at a time, and one browser broadcast lasts at most six hours before it has to be started again.

A free trial is one per person, small on purpose, and ends by itself; a station that is not turned into a paid plan goes off the air and is removed fourteen days later. A paid station that is not renewed goes off the air, and its music and settings are kept for sixty days before they are removed.

The month, and what happens at the end of it

A month is 30 days. A week before it ends we e-mail you a payment link. If the time runs out, the bot is suspended and leaves your channel (or the rented server is stopped) the same day. Your settings, lists and uploads are kept for sixty days after that, so paying later brings everything back as it was. After sixty days they may be deleted.

Refunds

If the bot does not work on your server and we cannot fix it within seven days of your first payment, write to contact@audiowander.com and we refund that month in full. Beyond that, a month already started is not refunded; you can simply stop renewing at any time.

Fair use

The bot plays what you ask it to play. You are responsible for having the right to broadcast it on your server, and for what your users request. We may suspend a bot, without a refund, that is used to break the law, to attack other services, or to stream material you have no right to.

The service

We keep the bot updated and running, and we watch the host. We cannot promise that a third party service (YouTube, an IPTV provider, a radio station) will keep working, or that your own TeamTalk server stays up. If our host is down for more than twenty four hours in a month, ask and we will add those days to your time.

Your data

We store: your e-mail address, the TeamTalk connection details you give us, what you upload (lists, music for your radio station), recordings you make with the recording add-on, the configuration of any server you rent, listener counts of your station (numbers only), and a record of your payments (the provider's reference, amount and date). We do not sell anything to anybody. Ask at contact@audiowander.com and we delete your account and everything with it.

Listening in from the panel

The panel can play the sound your bot is putting into your channel. That stream is private to your account, is never recorded and never kept: it is the live sound and nothing else. It exists so you can check the bot without opening TeamTalk.
