Wow marvels

What they are

WOW Marvels are bought in the credit shop. The first time you use one it is bound to your account forever: it leaves your bag, so it can never be lost, dropped, traded or taken from you. After that you open it from Village life, More to do, WOW Marvels, or by typing slash marvels.

The ten marvels

Private Island Retreat: your own island, reached from anywhere outdoors; a beach cabin and hammock to rest at, a campfire for warmth, a shared guestbook and a shallow reef to snorkel in once a day. Personal Submarine: dive from any shore, riverbank or dock for a narrated 90 second trip past a reef and a wreck, once every 90 minutes. Wandering Circus Wagon: set up an outdoor show for 25 minutes, once every 60 minutes; passers-by can watch and cheer, weekly Star Performer cup. Treasure Locket: start a real treasure hunt from where you stand, once every 24 hours, three clues then dig. Genie Lamp: rub it for three small wishes a day, warmth, a full belly, or a little luck. Time Capsule Chest: bury a note that surfaces 1 to 30 days later, up to 5 at once. Meteor Wish Charm: once a day, call down a private meteor shower and make a wish. Portrait Gallery Easel: commission a written portrait of yourself once a week, kept in a gallery of up to 20. Message Bottle Set: toss a message into any water for a stranger to find, and go looking for others' bottles yourself. Firefly Lantern: lights your way, and can be let loose once a night for a light show.

Where to use them

All ten work only outdoors or, for the submarine and message bottle, right at the water's edge. They do not work while dead, stunned, in a vehicle, travelling, in a PK arena, in jail, or in the middle of a fight. The circus wagon, meteor charm and camp-style items need open sky, so a home, shelter or plane cabin will not do.

If you buy two

A second copy of a marvel you already own stays in your bag as a spare; use it and it tells you so, then opens the one you already have.
