Playing an arena for a stake

Setting it up

Create an arena as usual, open its settings, and choose the stake entry. Type how many points each fighter puts in, or zero to play for nothing. Only the host can set it, and only before the match starts.

Taking part

When somebody takes the floor in a staked arena they are shown what it will cost, what they have, and asked to agree. Nobody who only watches pays anything.

When it is collected

At the moment the bell goes, not before. Anybody who cannot pay at that moment is moved to the touchline and pays nothing. The last fighter standing takes the whole pot.

If it does not finish

A draw, or the arena being closed, gives everybody their points back.

Why there are rules

A stake between two people is not a fight, it is a way of handing somebody points. So a staked match needs at least three fighters who each pay their own way, and if two of the fighters are on the same computer or the same connection the stake is cancelled and everybody is refunded. There is also a ceiling on the stake, and every pot is recorded.
