Social life plus

What it is

Everything that makes the world more fun with other people: tournaments with brackets, trivia duels, a looking for a group board, the Season Cup, duo quests, wrapped gifts, the charity box, family trees, heirlooms, club rivalries and gatherings, friendships with the villagers, and a music box remote with playlists. Most of it earns titles and trophies that stay with you for good. Open the game menu, choose Village life, More to do, Social life, contests and community, then Social life plus. The shortcut is slash socialplus.

Bracket tournaments

Anybody can host a knockout tournament for 4, 8 or 16 players, in any game: a duel in the PK arena, chess, rock paper scissors, a trivia duel, a futsal penalty shootout, a bike race, a fishing contest, or something else you agree on. The host chooses who may sign up: everybody, only members of the host's club (a club championship), or only the host's friends. An entry fee is optional: 100, 500, 1000 or 2500 points. All fees go into the pot. The champion gets 63 percent of the pot, the runner-up 27 percent, and 10 percent leaves the game. The host gets nothing from the pot.

The host starts the tournament when at least three players have signed up. The bracket is drawn at random, with free passes where the numbers are uneven. When your match is ready you hear it, and your opponent's name. Play the match for real, then report it: if you say you lost, it counts at once; if you say you won, your opponent is asked to confirm. If you both claim the win, or somebody does not turn up, the host settles the match. The host cannot settle their own match; staff can. A tournament that is not finished in seven days is cancelled and every fee is returned. Cancelling also returns every fee.

The champion and the runner-up get a trophy. Your first win gives the title Tournament champion, five wins give Grand champion, and a club championship gives Club champion. Read the hall of champions and your own record from the tournament menu. Shortcut: slash tourney.

Trivia duels

Challenge anybody who is online to five trivia questions, by name or from the people near you. You both get the same questions and answer on your own. Most right answers wins; a tie goes to the faster player. Nothing is staked. Ten wins give the title Quick wit, fifty give Sage of the village, one hundred a golden trophy. Shortcut: slash duel name.

Looking for a group

Post what you want to do and how many people you need: a raid, a village game, a tournament match, a futsal match, a fishing trip, a hunting party, exploring, a trip abroad, a club gathering, or just hanging out. Others join from the board and you hear who joined and where they are. You can tell everybody who joined where you are now. Posts go away after 45 minutes or when you log out. Shortcut: slash lfg.

The season cup

The Season Cup follows the real seasons: the Blossom Cup in spring, the Sunfire Cup in summer, the Harvest Cup in autumn and the Frost Cup in winter. You earn cup points for tournament match wins and championships, trivia duel wins, raids won, village games won, futsal wins and goals, duo quests, club gatherings and rivalries, family reunions, new hearts with villagers, gifts to the charity box and top places in the weekly contest and the weekly ranked cup. At most 60 cup points a day. When the season turns, the top three get a trophy, the champion a title, and everybody with 30 points or more gets that season's Cup medal for the Four Seasons collection. Standings are in the Season menu and in Social life plus.

Duo quests

Invite a friend who is online to a small job together. Some ask each of you to bring your share of wood, stone, apples, raw fish, nuts, clay, herbs or eggs. Others ask you to spend 20 or 30 minutes within 10 steps of each other, anywhere. You have two days. A finished duo quest gives each of you 150 points (within the daily limit of 400 points from social activities), 10 cup points and time on your friendship. Two duo quests a day at most. Five give the title Dynamic duo, twenty five give Inseparable, fifty a trophy. Also in Village life, People.

Wrapped gifts

Wrap anything from your bag that can be given away, with a card, for a friend, your spouse or anybody by name. The gift waits wrapped until they open it, even if they are offline now. You can take back a gift that is not opened yet. Five gifts a day. Twenty five gifts give the title Generous giver. Shortcut: slash gift.

The charity box

Leave things in the box for people who need them, up to 50 of one thing at a time. Anybody can take one lot a day, but never one they left themselves. The giver hears when somebody takes it. Ten gifts to the box give the title Kind heart, fifty give the trophy Village benefactor. Nothing is ever created: things only change hands.

Family tree, family name and heirlooms

Invite other players into your family as your parent, child, brother or sister, cousin, grandparent or grandchild. They must be online and agree. Grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews are worked out by themselves, and your spouse is always in your tree. Either of you can remove a relation. Choose a family name and a family motto; others can read your tree.

Heirlooms: put one item from your bag into the family keeping with its story. Hand it down to a relative or your spouse and each keeper is written into its history. Only the keeper can take it out. An heirloom that reaches its third keeper gives that keeper a trophy. Ten heirlooms per keeper.

Family reunions: when two or more of your relatives are online on the same map as you, it is a family reunion, once a day. The first reunion is a trophy, ten give the title Family keeper, thirty another trophy. Shortcut: slash family. Also in Village life, People.

Clubs

In the club menu, choose Rivalries with other clubs. An officer can challenge another club to a week-long rivalry; an officer of that club has a day to accept. The club whose members earn more club experience in seven days wins, and every member of the winning club gets a trophy and the title Rivalry champion. Officers can pin a club notice that every member hears when they log in. Once a day an officer can call a gathering where they stand: members who come within 15 steps in the next 15 minutes check in and each earns the club 3 club experience. Ten gatherings give the title Heart of the club. The trophy wall shows rivalries, tournaments won by members and gatherings held, for your club and for all clubs.

Weddings

Sign the wedding guestbook of any married couple with a wish. The couple reads it from the marriage menu, Our wedding guestbook. Ten signatures give the couple a trophy.

Village people

Talk to a villager with shift and enter and choose Spend time with them. A chat a day adds a little friendship, and a gift a day adds more, especially one of the two things they like best. Ten points make a heart. At five hearts they tell you their story and you earn the title Friend of their name. At ten hearts they tell the story they keep for their closest friends, you earn a trophy, and they give you 200 points once. Being the closest friend of five villagers gives the title Beloved of the village. The list of villagers, where they stand and what they like is in Social life plus, Village people.

Music box

The music box now lets you fill the queue before the music starts: choose Add a song to the queue without starting the music yet, then Start playing the queue now. The queue can always be read, even when it is empty. Save what is playing and the queue as a playlist of up to 25 songs, five playlists in all, and load a playlist into any box you may use. The remote in Social life plus opens any music box you may use within 40 steps on the same map, so you can change the song from another room.

Lasting rewards from other activities

These now also give titles and trophies for your cabinet: finishing the ranked ladder month in Gold or higher, the top three of the month and weekly ranked cups; raid wins, great beasts, final blows, heart of the raid and ten wins in each raid role; village game wins; futsal wins, hat-tricks, goals and player of the match; completed collector's card sets and the full album; chapters five and ten of your life journal; solved detective cases; a top three place in the weekly contest.

The society page

The newspaper has a society page: tournament champions, club rivalries and gatherings, new family members, heirlooms handed down, villagers' closest friends, Season Cup winners and more. Also in Social life plus.
