Palmera bay

A whole city of palm trees and hot concrete, a coach ride away from the village. This page tells you how to get there, what is where, and every job the Marlow Court crew has for you.

Getting there

The coach. The village bus stop stands beside Main Street, on the west side of the road just north of the restaurant parking lot. Stand on it and press shift and enter: you climb aboard and take a seat, the doors close and the coach drives for about two minutes while the places outside are called out one by one. You stay in your seat until it stops; press shift and enter while you ride to hear how long is left. If you leave the game or the server restarts during the ride, you are back in your seat when you return and the coach carries on. You step down at the bus platform of Bayside Station in Palmera Bay, and the same platform takes you back to the village.

By car. Drive onto the village bus stop and the car arrives in Palmera Bay at once, with you in it. Bikes cannot go on the coach, and a teleporter does not work while the coach is moving.

What is where

Marlow Court is the heart of it: Theo's house, Andre's, Biscuit's and Dex's, the basketball court across the road and the barbecue grill in the cul-de-sac. Around it are Dunmore Boulevard with the gym and the burger joint, the gas station with the public restrooms on its forecourt, Ashby Avenue with the pawn shop, the Blue Anchor bar, the police station, the club and the Wayfarer motel, Juniper Park, Bayside Station, and the storm drain, a dry concrete river under the city.

Further out are Midtown Boulevard with the Golden Wing drive-thru, Bayview hospital and Midtown Station; Silverton and its shops; Downtown with its towers, a plaza with a fountain and City Hall; Sunridge Boulevard and Velvet Ray's mansion; Highcrest Drive, climbing to the viewpoint under the Sunridge sign; Seabright Beach with its pier; East Palmera Bay; the Saltwater Docks with warehouse 7; and the airport fence.

Every building has a door you can find with the object tracker. Track the door itself, for example the door of Biscuit's house, not the house: the house entry points into the middle of the building. Stand on the door and press enter to go in; the door out takes you back to the street.

The jobs

Andre, Biscuit and Dex stand in front of their houses on Marlow Court. Stand next to one of them and press shift and enter to open his menu: the jobs he has for you, how many you have done today, and Tell me again where to go.

When you take a job you hear what to do next, where it is and how many steps away, and a beacon sound calls from that direction every few seconds. If the place is inside a building, the directions take you to its door first. The people in the jobs speak in their own voices; press shift and enter next to the man who gave you the job to skip a scene.

Five jobs a day. First runs and repeats count together, and the count starts again at midnight on the server. A job you give up or fail does not count. Each job can be done again once a day for a smaller reward.

A job you are in the middle of is kept if the server restarts or you leave the game: you carry on from the step you had reached. The time limit keeps running while you are away, but it stops while the server restarts. The Storm Drain Run starts again from the ramp.

Andre

Welcome Back. Visit Theo's living room and the basketball court. 2000 points and a green bandana.

Fresh Paint. You get five spray cans; cover the five rival gang tags within fifteen minutes. 4000.

Street Sweep. Pick up the six rubbish piles on Marlow Court and throw them in the dumpster within fifteen minutes. Every pile has its own name in the tracker. 3000 and a Marlow Court jersey.

Toast's First Shift. In a car, pick Toast up in front of the police station on Ashby Avenue, where he has been reporting his stolen bike, then drive him to the front of the burger joint on Dunmore Boulevard within five minutes. 5000.

The Notebook. Get into Velvet Ray's mansion in Sunridge and take Toast's notebook back from the desk; Ray's manager took it from him after a failed audition. Two guards are asleep inside: do not step next to them or you are thrown out. 7000.

Marlow Court Barbecue. Opens after any seven other jobs. Bring five cooked meats and three drinks to the grill in the cul-de-sac. 15000 and a green lowrider jacket.

Biscuit

The Lunch Rush. Collect the bag from the burger joint counter and bring it back within four minutes. 3500 and two sandwiches.

The Backpack. Pay the manager 150 coins at the door of room 4 inside the Wayfarer motel and bring the backpack back. 4000.

Hot Wings. In a car, pick Biscuit up in front of his house, drive to the Golden Wing drive-thru window on Midtown Boulevard, and get him home within four minutes. 5500.

Cold Drinks for Nico. Take a cooler to Nico, the lifeguard at the end of the Seabright pier, within eight minutes, before the ice melts. 3500.

Dex

Getaway Driver. In a car, pull up in front of Dex's house, then reach Bayside Station within five minutes; anywhere inside the station counts. Do not drive onto the bus stop on the platform: a car on it goes to the village. 5000.

The Storm Drain Run. In a car or on a bike, go down the ramp into the storm drain, through checkpoints one to five to the far end, then back up to the finish line at the ramp, all within four minutes. The checkpoints reach right across the drain, and driving through them at speed counts. Best times go on a board. 4000.

Warehouse Seven. Take three army crates from warehouse 7 at the Saltwater Docks without going near the night guard, and bring them back to Dex within twelve minutes. 6000.

The Sunridge Sign. Go to the viewpoint under the Sunridge sign at the top of Highcrest Drive and press shift and enter. 3000.

The pawn shop

The pawn counter inside the Dunmore pawn and gold shop on Ashby Avenue buys a pearl for 900 points, a black pearl for 9000, an old coin for 500, a silver ring for 1200, a golden ring for 500, a gold bar for 1500, a coral piece for 600 and a sea sponge for 300. Sell one, or all you carry.

Restrooms

The public restrooms of Palmera Bay are on the gas station forecourt, east of Dunmore Boulevard. The object tracker lists the door.
