Compete and cooperate
This is a family of twenty five small games and systems about teaming up with
other players or going head to head with them. Open it from Village life,
More to do, "Compete and cooperate", or type /compete. Each system also has
its own short command, listed below.
TOWN RIVALRY (/rivalry)
Declare for the Village or for Palmera Bay. Do a town shift every twenty five
minutes to add points to your town's weekly score and grow your own streak.
The leading town at the end of the week gets a champion's title for everyone
who declared for it that week.
CREW CONTRACTS (/crewboard)
Post a delivery job: an item, how many, and a point reward held until it is
delivered. Anyone can bring in what you asked for and earn the reward. Your
club (if you belong to one) is shown on the posting, and a running tally
tracks the most reliable crews.
TEAM CHALLENGES (/teamup)
Invite two to four friends. Every day brings a new shared task; anyone on the
team can chip in with "Do your part" every ten minutes. Finish today's target
together for points and a shared streak.
THE FAVOUR BOARD (/favors)
Ask another player for a favour: an escort, company, a performance, a lesson,
watch duty, or anything else. The reward is held until you personally confirm
the favour is done, so nobody can claim it and vanish.
WEEKLY BRACKETS (/brackets)
Sign up for this week's event (an arena duel, a futsal match, a killarena
bout, or an arm-wrestling match). Once enough players sign up, a bracket is
drawn. Go settle your match however you like, then both sides report the
winner. The last player standing becomes the week's Village Champion.
CROSS-VILLAGE RELAY (/relay)
Form a team of exactly three. When all three are online, start your attempt:
the baton passes from person to person, and each leg's time is how fast you
reply once it is your turn. Fastest total time this week is the one to beat.
TUG OF WAR (/tugofwar)
Join red or blue. Once both sides have at least two players, the match
starts. Each round everyone gets a one click "Pull!" prompt; the side with
more pulls moves the rope. First side to drag the rope to their end wins.
SIEGE WATCH (/siegewatch)
Raise the alarm (once every couple of hours) and gather defenders. Three
waves follow; each wave, everyone defending gets a "Hold the line!" prompt.
Hold all three waves for a shared reward and a trophy.
SCAVENGER HUNT TEAMS (/scavengehunt)
Form a team of two to four. Start a hunt for five random common materials
(wood, stone, leather, wool, plank, rocks, sand, clay, iron bar, copper bar);
donate what you are carrying until the whole list is gathered. Fastest
completion time is kept for bragging rights.
BEST STALL (/beststall)
Cast one vote a week for the player you think has been the best presence in
the market. The weekly winner is announced and gets a title.
CREW FISHING DERBY (/fishderby)
Form a fishing crew of two to five. Start a twenty minute derby and weigh in
any fish you are carrying; every fish adds to your crew's total. Highest
total this week and of all time are both kept.
BUILDING RACE (/buildrace)
Join team A or team B. Once both sides have a builder, a ten minute race
starts: donate wood, stone, plank or rocks. First side to three hundred
units wins.
CHEERING (/cheer)
Send an encouraging cheer to a nearby player, up to three times a day. It
gives you a small reward and adds to their lifetime "cheers received" count,
with titles at fifty and two hundred.
THE CO-OP ASSEMBLY LINE (/assemblyline)
Form a line of up to four. Feed it wood, stone, leather, wool, iron bar or
copper bar; more hands finish a batch faster. A finished batch pays every
contributor points and village reputation.
VILLAGE WATCH ROSTER (/watchroster)
Stand a quiet patrol shift every forty minutes for reputation and a little
pay. Keeps a personal streak, and the player with the most shifts each week
is recognised.
TRADE CARAVAN ALLIANCE (/caravanalliance)
Load ln point into a shared caravan, or volunteer as an escort. When the
caravan departs, more escorts means a safer journey; with enough escorts
everybody's stake comes back in full, plus a small bonus for the escorts.
CLAN TURF WARS (/turf)
If you belong to a club, contribute points toward your crew's claim on the
Riverside, Market or Hillside turf. The crew with the most contributions each
week holds that turf, and its top contributor earns a trophy.
VILLAGE OBSTACLE COURSE (/obstaclecourse)
A five stage solo course, timed by how fast you reply to each stage's prompt.
Chase your own best time and the weekly record.
FRIENDLY WAGER POOL (/wager)
Bet points on the outcome of this week's Town Rivalry, the current Tug of War
match, or the current Building Race. Winners split the pool, minus a small
board fee, exactly like the arena betting counter already does for fights.
HALL OF CHAMPIONS (/hallofchampions)
See recent champion moments from across every system above, and this
season's leading player. Every four weeks the season's top scorer is crowned
Village MVP with a permanent trophy and title.
DUEL CHALLENGE LADDER (/duelladder)
Challenge a named player. If they accept, go settle it however you like, then
both of you report the winner. Matching reports update a simple ladder rank.
TEAM BAKE-OFF (/bakeoff)
Once a week, enter a dish from your bag. It is judged by a fair, fixed
formula; repeating last week's exact dish earns no variety bonus. Top score
of the week is crowned Bake-Off Champion.
CAR CIRCUIT RACE (/circuit)
Pay ten ln point to line up. Wait for the green light (a random delay, so
jumping early does not help), then react as fast as you can. Chase the
weekly and all-time lap records.
ARM-WRESTLING TABLE (/armwrestle)
Challenge a nearby player to a quick, casual match: best of three "Push!"
exchanges, whoever answers first wins the exchange. Keeps a win streak and a
lifetime total, with titles at five, fifteen and thirty in a row.
LOOKING-FOR-GROUP BOARD (/lfgboard)
Post that you are looking for a group for any of the team activities above.
Listings expire after an hour by themselves. Browsing sends the poster a
private message; nothing here is ever announced to the whole server.
Notes for everyone
All of this is built on top of ln point rewards that are modest and capped
per day, shared across every system in this list, so nothing here can be
farmed for unlimited gain. Nothing here ever creates ln credit. Announcements
you do not want to hear can be turned off from Privacy options, Announcements,
"Compete and cooperate".
