Flight sounds
Every flight from the Skyport now plays real cabin sound. The sounds come from the server, so there is nothing to download, and they play right where you sit.
What you hear on a flight
The busy cabin while people board. The heavy door closing. The crew welcome and the safety briefing. The engines starting, jet or turboprop. The taxi out and the take off roll, with the runway rumble getting faster until the wheels leave the ground. The landing gear folding away and the climb. A steady cruise, with the captain telling you about your destination and the weather there. The drinks trolley, and sometimes turbulence, light or heavy. The descent, the flaps, the gear coming down, the touchdown and the roar of reverse thrust. The taxi to the gate, the engines winding down and the door opening.
On the ground
Near an airport you can hear aircraft climbing away and coming in to land overhead.

Open the main game menu, then Flight sounds, or type /flysounds.
About flight sounds: a short description.
Hear a short sample of the cabin in flight: plays a few seconds of cruise sound where you stand. Once a minute.
Staff
Staff: play any flight sound to yourself. Same as /flysound followed by the sound name.
Staff: flight sound status. How many sounds are loaded and sent.
Staff: reload the flight sound list.
