Audiowander radio in the game
AudioWander runs internet radio stations for our community (audiowander.com). You can now listen to them right here in the game, without opening a web page.
Where
Game menu, Life plus, Fun, Music, stage and festivals, AudioWander radio. You can also type /awradio.
Choose a station. You can then:
- Listen here in the game. The station plays on you, wherever you walk, from map to map, until you stop it.
- Play it on the music box next to you. Everyone near the box hears it, like any song on the box. It plays until somebody stops the box or the next song in the queue starts. The music box rules apply (locked boxes, the queue, the hourly request limit).
- Play it on your car radio, when you sit at the wheel. Turn it off from the car menu as usual.
- Open the station page in your browser.
Stations that players linked to their in-game Radio Station License are listed too.
Stop and volume
Stop: the first line of the AudioWander radio menu, "Stop the radio", or type /awstop.
Turn it back on: the same menu offers your last station again.
Volume: the Music box volume setting in the game options (the same setting as music boxes and car radios).
Commands
/awradio the station guide (same as the menu)
/awlisten <station page name> listen to a station, for example /awlisten cheese
/awstop turn your radio off
/awlink the AudioWander link of your Radio Station License
Radio station license: link your real station
If you own the Radio Station License (Grand Vault, credit shop) and also run an AudioWander radio station, you can link the two.
1. Life plus, Grand Vault, open your Radio Station License, then the AudioWander link line. Enter your station page name (the short name in audiowander.com/radio/yourname). You get a code that starts with LN.
2. On audiowander.com, log in, open your station panel, find the part called Life in Nature and type the code. It works for 30 minutes and only once.
3. Back in the game, choose "I typed the code in the web panel: check the link now" (it is also checked when you log in).
From then on, when you go on air in the game, everyone tuned in to your frequency hears your real station live in the game, and your station page on audiowander.com says it is also live in Life in Nature, with how many players listen in the game. When you go off air or leave the game, the live stream stops for your listeners.
Linking gives you the title "On Air in Two Worlds". You can remove the link in the game or in the web panel at any time. Your password and station details are never shared with the game.
Good to know
- The radio is live: there is no rewinding, and everyone hears the same moment.
- If a station is off the air, the game tells you so. Try again later.
- A music box or a music box stream near you plays at the same time as your own radio. Stop your radio to hear the box clearly.
