Amberlight canals

What it is

A lantern-lit canal town that never quite sleeps, boardwalks over dark

water, paper lanterns strung everywhere.

How to get there

In the Harbour Market District, find the quiet side canal with a

lantern-lit skiff moored and waiting (press shift enter there) and board

it. You arrive at South Mooring. The same skiff, from inside Amberlight

Canals, takes you back to the Harbour Market District.

Places

South Mooring is where you arrive. North of it is the Lantern Quarter, a

night market square where Mask-maker Talia keeps her stall. Boatman Rosa

waits by his skiff at the South Mooring dock. Cross the main canal (shift

enter to talk to Rosa and board, or wade the shallow water yourself) to

reach the Glassworks Quarter on the north bank: Glassblower Enzo's

workshop, a quiet diving cove, and a shuttered door in the far corner.

Gathering

The sandy bank near the south side of the canal: shift+enter, no tool

needed, silica sand. The diving cove beside the Glassworks Quarter:

shift+enter, no tool needed, lagoon pearls (lower chance). Both have a

short cooldown between tries and a daily limit.

Trade

Glassblower Enzo buys silica sand and lagoon pearls for ln point, capped

per day. One of the two goods pays 50 percent extra each week; ask him

which.

The lantern festival

A world event on a schedule: paper lanterns bloom bright along every canal

for a few minutes and gathering is easier while it lasts. Check

/amberlight for when the next one is expected.

The lantern trail

Five hidden landmarks scattered around Amberlight Canals. Look at each one

(shift+enter) to collect it. Once you have found all five, the Sunken

Glass Atelier in the Glassworks Quarter opens to you, and you earn a

title.

The wishing canal

Offer a lagoon pearl (shift+enter at the Wishing Canal, or use one while

standing there) toward your Amberlight Favor. Offerings are used up, not

refunded; milestones at 5, 15 and 30 wishes unlock a keepsake charm, a

title and a trophy.

The masked regatta

A three part quest chain from Mask-maker Talia at her stall: bring her

silica sand, then speak with Boatman Rosa about the old regatta route,

then, once you have opened the Sunken Glass Atelier, tell her. Each part

pays a little ln point on top of its own keepsake, title or trophy.

Canal errands

Ask Glassblower Enzo for an errand and he hands you a pouch of glass beads

to carry to Mask-maker Talia. Deliver it within about a minute and a half

for a small ln point payment. Limited tries per day.

Command

/amberlight (or /canals) opens the Amberlight Canals menu from anywhere:

the guide, your Lantern Trail progress, your Amberlight Favor, the Lantern

Festival status, and Amberlight records. It is also listed in the village

"More to do" menu.
