Shift and enter now opens your home menu anywhere inside your own bungalow, stone shelter or luxury pool villa. This was a genuine fault and it is the reason the bathroom looked broken: the message after fitting a bathroom told you to press shift and enter, but the home menu was never bound to that key at all. Its only way in was the game menu, and only the wooden shelter had a shift and enter square of its own, so bungalow, stone shelter and villa owners had no home interaction whatsoever. Everything else on a square still comes first, so nothing that already worked has changed. The Governor's board is now a real thing you can use, exactly like the mayor's board. It stands in the Petition Hall on the ground floor of the mansion and it beeps every few seconds so you can walk to it without hunting for a single square. Stand at it and press shift and enter: anybody gets the public book of the governor's decisions and the gift room, and the governor gets their own office menu from the same board. Until now the board was only scenery: you could hear its name but pressing enter on it did nothing. Coffee can now be made the way people actually tried to make it: hold a pot of boiling water in one hand and coffee beans in the other, and two beans turn into three cups. The old way, beans in an empty pot over a fire, still works too. Only the second one existed before, which is why putting beans into boiling water did nothing. The Governor's Mansion has been given proper sound. It was echoing like a cave because every floor had a hall reverb laid over the top of each room's own reverb, and there was almost no ambience in it. The blanket reverb is gone and each floor now has its own sound: the hall clock, the murmur of the Petition Hall, the radio in the guard post, the fire in the governor's office, the clock in the cabinet room and wind and birds on the roof terrace. The lift works now as well: its buttons were sitting on the same square as the lift room's own doorway, so pressing enter opened the door instead of calling the lift. The bathroom message now says plainly that no new door appears: the washroom, the shower and the bath are in your home menu, opened with shift and enter anywhere inside your own place. The traffic lights have been quietened down and given new sounds. You now only hear a light when you are within a hundred steps of it, instead of everybody on the map hearing every change; further away than that and the junction is nothing to do with you. You no longer hear them at all from inside a building, a shop or any other indoor place, and buildings no longer have lights of their own at all: the mansion, the gift shop, the general store, the tavern, the bakery and the hospital were all wrongly counted as places with traffic. The three sounds have been replaced with clearly different ones: a single bell for red, a short beep for amber and a bright chime for green. There is now an office above every mayor: the Governor. The Governor's Mansion has been built in the village, east of the shops, and anybody may walk into it. It has three floors reached by a grand staircase or by a lift: the Entrance Hall, the Petition Hall with the notice board, the Gift Room and the Guard Post downstairs; the Governor's Office, the Deputy Governor's Room and the Cabinet Room on the first floor; the Private Study and the Roof Terrace at the top. How a mayor is removed has changed, and this is the part to read. Signing the petition no longer throws a mayor out of office by itself. When enough people have signed, the complaint is laid before the governor as a case and the mayor STAYS IN OFFICE until the governor decides. The governor can uphold it, which removes the mayor and starts an election, or dismiss it and let the mayor stay. Either way the governor has to write a reason, that reason is announced to everybody, and it goes into a public book that anybody can read. A handful of friends can no longer pull down an elected mayor between them. The governor is appointed by the developer alone, for a fixed number of days or with no end date, and the term can be changed or ended at any time. There is also a Deputy Governor, appointed either by the developer or by the governor. The deputy shares the work, draws half the allowance, and may only rule on a case if the governor has not been seen for seven days. A governor may resign whenever they wish. Anybody who walks into the mansion can leave something for the governor on the gift table, or make a gift of points to the office, up to five thousand points and twenty items a day each. Every gift is written into the public book with the giver's name. The governor draws an allowance of two thousand points and five credits a day, and has to be standing in the office to draw it. Everything the office does is written down where everybody can read it, a mayor cannot be removed without a written reason, and the same place cannot have its mayor removed twice within a day. See the new help page, The Governor, for all of it.
new in 12.08.2026 An item loss in the safe and the group vault has been found and fixed. When you took something out, it was removed from the safe FIRST and then handed to you - but if your bag would not take it, because you were already carrying two hundred of that thing, it was quietly refused and the item was gone from both places. Emptying the safe was worse still: it wiped the whole safe whether the items reached your bag or not. Now only what actually reaches your bag is taken out of the safe, anything that will not fit stays exactly where it was, and you are told how many were left behind. The help section has been filled in for everything added recently. Open the game menu and choose help, and there are now full pages on clubs, on how good you are at each trade and what a level actually does, on the walkie-talkie and the notebook, on your home and fitting a bathroom, on polls, on running a market stall, and on the whole bread, dairy and preserves chain with every recipe written out. The car page has been extended too: choosing your colour, how many people each model seats, what happens when you run somebody down, and how the traffic lights work. The notebook had a fault: the option to write down where you are standing only appeared once you had already written a note by hand, so a brand new notebook could not record a place at all. It is there from the first page now.
new in 11.08.2026 There is a real kitchen to work through now. Wheat ground with a hammer gives flour; flour and water make dough; dough baked in a skillet over a fire comes out as two loaves of bread, or three rings of simit. Milk and a pot will set into cheese, churn into butter or thicken into yoghurt. Berries boiled down make jam, apples slice and dry into dried fruit that keeps, watermelon goes down in brine as pickles, and coffee beans roast into a cup of coffee. Coffee beans are sold for points; everything else comes off your own land. All of it feeds you properly. Every one of these has its own value: cheese and bread fill you up, yoghurt helps with thirst as well, jam and dried fruit are for energy on a long walk, and coffee wakes you up more than it feeds you. The help bot knows all the recipes too, so you can just ask it. Every trade has ten levels now. Doing the work is what moves them, and every job you finish counts whether it is your trade or not, so changing trade never wipes out what you learned. You will find where you stand in the work and jobs menu. Being good at something makes what you make better, not more of it. A master fisherman lands heavier fish, not more fish; a master cook turns out finer food, not double helpings. That is deliberate. Skill is worth having, but it does not flood the world with goods and it does not make anybody's fortune overnight. Broken bones can be treated again. Nine different casts, slings and braces exist in the game, but six of them could not be got hold of anywhere at all, and the other three only through crafting. So anybody with a broken elbow or arm was told by every medical item that it would not help, with no way of ever finding the one that would. All nine are now sold for points in the shop, from 150 for a paper thumb cast up to 650 for a large brace. The game tells you what your break needs. Instead of only saying that an item will not help, it now names the bone you have broken and the exact casts that treat it, so you are not left trying every medical item in your bag one after another. Clubs. A group of people can now have something of their own: a radio channel that is theirs, a store everybody can put things into and take things out of, and a purse. You will find it in the village life menu. Starting one costs 20,000 points and that money leaves the game for good, so it is worth talking it over first. How a club works. Whoever starts it is the founder and can make others officers; officers can bring people in, put people out and take from the purse. A club never makes money on its own: everything in the purse and the store was put there by a member, and every withdrawal from the purse is announced to the other members so nothing happens quietly. There are daily limits on all of it, one member at a time: 50,000 points in, 25,000 points out and 100 things out of the store. They are there so a club purse cannot be used to hand somebody a fortune, which is the same reason gifts and market stalls have limits. A club cannot be closed while there is anything in its purse or its store, because what people left in there is still theirs. Your stall keeps a record. Your own market stall menu now tells you what you have sold, what your best sellers are and what your last dozen sales were, so you know what is worth making more of. You can see what is on the market. The village life menu has a board showing what every stall is selling right now, the price, and which map it is on. There is no announcement when somebody puts something up: the board is there to be read when you want it, and the game stays quiet. Chickens sometimes leave an egg. A chicken you kill leaves its carcass as before, and now and then an egg beside it. Eggs already have recipes: fried eggs, a custard, and fresh pasta with wheat. Villas, bungalows and stone shelters have a washroom at last. Wooden shelters have had one all along, and that turned out to be the whole reason for the complaints: the most expensive home in the game was the only one where you could not use the washroom, take a shower or have a bath. Step inside your own place, press shift and enter, and it is all there. It counts towards your daily care the same as anywhere else. Cars have a colour. When you put a car down you are asked what colour it is, from twenty to choose from: black, white, silver, grey, red, dark red, blue, navy blue, sky blue, green, dark green, yellow, orange, brown, beige, purple, pink, gold, bronze and turquoise. The colour is read out when you look around, when you get in, and in the car's own menu, so people can tell one car from another by ear. It makes no difference at all to how a car drives, and it costs nothing. You can take an application back. Applying for a post that needs a charter used to be final: if you changed your mind, or your application went somewhere the mayor could not see it, there was nothing you could do and a member of staff had to clear it by hand. The apply menu now offers to withdraw any application of yours, and you can put a fresh one in straight away. Applying indoors sends it to the right place. An application made inside a shop, a villa or any other building was filed under that building rather than the district it stands in, so no mayor ever saw it and you were left being told you had already applied. It is filed against the district outside now. Applications that were already stuck inside shops have been moved to the village where the mayor can read them, and nobody has to apply again. Players can put ideas up for a vote. It sits in the courts and contests menu under ideas from players. Write your idea as a question, give two to five choices, and say whether you want people to be able to comment on it. Anybody can vote, one vote each, and you can change your mind while it is open. Ideas close on their own after a day and stay readable afterwards with all the comments, so nothing is lost. One thing to be clear about: an idea poll gathers opinions, it does not decide anything. Whatever the vote says, the final call belongs to the developer and the management team. That is written on every screen of it so nobody is left with the wrong impression. Nobody gets a sound or a notification when an idea goes up, so the game stays quiet; only the staff are told. Links are not allowed in the question, the choices or the comments, and being stopped from chatting stops you here too. You can put up one idea at a time. There are hand radios now, 3,000 points from the shop. Switch one on, pick a channel from one to nine, and anybody else with a radio on that channel hears you no matter where they are in the world. A taxi stand can agree on a channel and keep its drivers together, a hunting party can keep in touch across a forest, and it works the same for any group. You hear the radio open and close around every message. You need a radio in your bag to hear the channel, and being stopped from chatting stops you on the radio too. Only the driver is told about gear changes. Passengers were hearing every single one, which made a long drive unbearable for anyone using a screen reader. Car menus no longer pile up. Pouring five cans of fuel used to leave five menus stacked on top of each other, so you had to press back five times before you could drive again. One press is enough now, however many things you did. Police speak over the radio. When an officer uses voice chat while sitting in a patrol car, everyone within thirty steps hears the radio open before they speak and close when they finish. It is not a private channel: the public hears it too, and that is the point, because now you can tell by ear that what you just heard was an officer on duty rather than the person standing beside you. Closed places sound closed. Twenty six maps had no acoustics at all, so standing inside a castle, a cave or your own front room sounded exactly like standing in an open field. Caves, tunnels and the old mine road now carry a real echo, big halls like the mosque, the castles and the station have the ring of a high ceiling, and rooms, taverns and kitchens have the short close sound of four walls. Outdoor maps and the fighting arenas were deliberately left alone, because reverb blurs distance and you need that to find your way and to fight. Market prices are tied to what a thing is actually worth. A stall could ask up to 100,000 points for anything at all, which meant a plank of wood could be sold for a fortune and the market became a way to hand any amount of points to a friend. The most you can now ask is three times what the item is worth, so making a profit is still yours to make, but selling a stone for a small fortune is not. A stall can take 50,000 points in a day. Once it has, it stops selling until tomorrow and both you and the buyer are told why. Gifts have had a daily limit for a long time; stalls had none at all, and that was the wider of the two doors. Crashes hurt less and heal properly. Everybody in the car was breaking a bone in every single crash, and worse, the break was recorded under a name no plaster or medicine could match, so it never healed at all. Bones now break rarely, only to somebody who is not already injured, and they mend far quicker. Any injury that could not be healed has been cleared from every affected character. A crash costs between 100 and 200 health instead. Cars crash into each other now. Pull up in front of somebody and wait, and if the driver coming at you does not stop, they go straight into you. The one who does the running into comes off worst: their car is wrecked, the engine dies, and everybody inside is shaken up and cannot move for ten seconds. The car that was standing still only takes a knock and nobody in it is hurt, so blocking the road is not what gets punished, driving into a stopped car is. You get told a long way before it happens. As soon as there is a car stopped anywhere within a hundred steps ahead of you, you hear about it and a horn sounds, and an alarm keeps sounding while it is there, counting the steps down once you are inside twenty, so you have all the room you need to brake or go round. Creeping into a car at walking pace just stops you, it does not count as a crash, so parking is still parking. Cars have a fixed number of seats now, driver included. The 5,000 point car and the 10,000 point Aurora take two, the 15,000 point Falcon takes three, the 20,000 point Meridian takes four, and a patrol car takes six. Before this there was no limit at all and a car would take as many people as tried to get in. If a car is already carrying more than it should, the last people to get in step out once it is standing still, so nobody is thrown out of a moving car. There is a fishing tournament every evening at eight. It runs for half an hour and needs at least five people about. Just fish anywhere with water: your first catch enters you for 500 points, and whoever lands the heaviest fish takes the whole pot. Nothing is added by the game, so the prize is exactly what the entrants put in. The tournament survives a restart now, so nobody's entry money disappears with it. The leather jacket you make from snake hide can be worn. It was crafted properly and sat in your bag doing nothing, because it was never listed as a piece of clothing. Music comes back faster after a map change. The wait was two and a half seconds of silence; it is a little over one now, with a second attempt behind it so the song still comes back on a slower device instead of going quiet for good. Changing your name no longer costs you what you own. Your shelters, groups, tickets, maps and marriage moved across with you, but everything added since kept your old name on it, so a rename quietly handed it all to a player who no longer existed: your plants could not be watered or picked, your car would not open, your market stall could not be emptied, your barn was not yours and your taxi stand forgot you. Plants, taxi stands (including the drivers on their books), cars with their keys and passengers, market stalls, barns and police records all follow you now. Taxi stands work. If you bought a deed and could not open your stand, that is fixed: stand on it, or within a few steps of it, and press shift and enter. The square offered you two versions of the same stand and only one of them answered, which is why it kept saying there was nothing there to open. Nobody lost a deed or any points over it. Finding your own stand. Press M to look around and your stand is read out with the rest of what is nearby, telling you how many steps away it is and in which direction. Opening its menu also tells you where it is, so you can walk back to it, and as the owner you no longer have to be standing exactly on it. Nobody is signed up to a stand without agreeing to it. An owner taking you on used to be told to you after the fact. Now you get asked first, with the terms in front of you: the ten per cent comes out of your share, not out of the passenger's pocket, and you can leave the stand whenever you like. Nothing is recorded until you say yes, and the offer lapses if you do not answer. Roast chicken comes off the spit now, and you can eat it. Chicken was the only animal missing that step: once it finished roasting the meat stayed stuck on the spit, you could not take it off, and you did not get your spit back either. Both are fixed, and roast chicken now fills you the way a bird should, a little less than the heavier meats. A teleporter cannot hold on to you any more. If a journey did not finish, because the server restarted or your connection went at the wrong moment, it stayed open forever: you came back inside the teleporter, unable to move properly, wandering the same map while the sound kept going. Every journey now has a two minute limit, after which it lets go of you, puts you on solid ground and gives you back your movement. Being freed from a wall is checked instead of assumed. The rescue used to announce that it had moved you whether or not the move had taken, so some players heard the good news over and over while still stuck. It now looks at where you actually ended up: if you really are free it says so, and if it could not do it, it tells you the truth and calls the staff instead of trying again every few seconds. Your own taxi stand opens from a few steps away and tells you where it is. It only answered on the one exact square it was built on, which for anybody who cannot see it meant losing it for good. The menu now says how many steps away it is and in which direction, and picking it out of the list works even if you have drifted a square while reading. Bread and egg dishes have been in the game all along and hardly anybody knew. Five wheat and a skillet grind and bake into two loaves. Two eggs and a skillet over a fire make fried eggs, three eggs with two milk thicken into a custard, and two eggs with three wheat cut into two portions of fresh pasta. Hold the two things one in each hand and press T until it is done. The help bot knows where things are and how they are made. It could only follow you from map to map before, so 'where is the hospital' or 'how do I make bread' got a shrug, and once it answered a recipe question wrongly and sent a player away thinking bread was impossible. It now reads the game's own list of 235 places and 214 recipes and answers from those instead of from memory, in whatever language you ask. Taxi stands open now. Standing on your own stand and pressing shift and enter said there was nothing there to open. The stand was built and paid for and saved properly, but nothing was listening for you on that square, so the whole thing sat there doing nothing. It opens as it should, and it also shows up in the list when there is more than one thing on the square. A patrol car tells you why you cannot get in. It used to just say the car was locked, which sounded like a fault to anyone who had taken the police trade. Only an officer taken on by a mayor can use one, and it says so now. Flowers have their own place in the garden. The twelve plant limit counted everything together, so anybody with fruit trees growing could not put in a single rose. Flowers are now counted separately: twelve crops and trees, and eight flowers on top of that. The radio keeps playing when you switch the engine off. Sitting in a parked car with music on works now. Only registered drivers can charge for a ride. Anyone could pick up fares without belonging to a taxi stand, which left the stands with no purpose. If you are not signed on at a stand and do not own one, the ride is free and you are told why. Get taken on at a stand, or open your own with a deed. Waving a taxi down and walking off costs you. Drivers were coming out for fares that were not there. If you call for a taxi and you are not near where you called from two minutes later, and you have not got into a car, 150 points are taken. Wait where you call from and nothing happens. If you end up inside a wall you are put back on solid ground on your own. There was already a rescue, but it only ran when you logged in, so anybody who got stuck in the middle of playing had to close the game and come back. It now watches while you play and frees you a few seconds after it happens, wherever you are. The cheapest car has a proper key and a proper stop. Turning the key made no sound at all, and switching the engine off played the sound of a car being taken away. Both are real engine sounds now, heard from inside when you are sat in it and from outside when you are not. Your day's work resets when the day does. If you drew your wages and came back the next day without doing anything yet, the work menu still showed yesterday's shift and yesterday's wages as already taken, so it looked like the shift would never end. It now starts fresh with the new day whether you have worked yet or not. Serving food and drink at a table works again. Anyone on a cook, restaurant or barman job who tried to put something in front of a customer was told there was nothing cooked, no matter what was in the bag. The check that looked through your food was never finding anything at all. It looks properly now, so cooked meals, roasts and drinks all show up in the list. The bonus you get from eating a meal you cooked yourself works again. It was quietly doing nothing. Carcasses in the bag and skinning are checked properly again. Two more places were failing the same silent way as the serving list. Music in the car stays on while you drive. It used to cut out the moment you moved off, even in neutral, and never came back until you stopped and started it again. The engine changing from idling to driving was switching the music off with it. Music follows the car. When you drive from one map to the next the song comes with you, and when you get out you can still hear it playing from the car instead of it going silent. The siren stops following you around. It used to stay behind on the map you left, howling away with nobody able to switch it off. It also keeps running now when you step out of a police car: you hear it from outside instead of it cutting off. The siren comes from the car. It was playing from a fixed spot no matter where the car went, so you could not tell where a police car was by ear. It moves with the car now, gets louder as it comes closer, and drops to the distant version when it is far away. The car sound is the right car again. Once you started moving, every car fell back to the sound of the cheapest one. Starting the engine and switching it off use each car's own sounds too, heard from inside when you are in the car and from outside when you are not. Changing gear sounds where you are, not where you were. The gear noise used to stay behind on the road while you drove on. Any policeman can use any patrol car. They were tied to the map they belonged to, so an officer working away from home could not get into an empty car sitting right next to them. You can always leave the game. Some players found that escape did nothing at all and they were stuck in the game until they closed it by force. If an exit was ever started and not finished, or a jump or a fall was interrupted, the exit question would never open again for the rest of that session. Paid accounts cannot be lost to a restart. A reading of your account file that came back empty for a moment was enough to drop a paid account to free, and once that happened the next save wrote it in for good. It cannot happen now, and the account that was lost has been put back. The exit question takes your answer the first time now. Pressing enter used to read the whole question out again, sometimes two or three times over, before it would let you leave; there was a short guard against leaving by accident and it was announcing itself instead of quietly doing its job. The guard is still there, it is shorter, and it no longer talks over you. The same thing was happening in other yes-or-no boxes and they are all fixed. Escape closes the car menu. It used to hand you back the screen you were just on, and pressing escape again brought it back once more, so the menu felt impossible to get out of. One press closes it now. Choosing something in the menu still reopens it with the new state, which is deliberate: turn the engine off and the menu tells you the engine is off. Music you put on in a car travels with the car. It used to stay behind at the spot where it started, so driving away meant driving away from your own music. The people in the car now hear it with them wherever they go, and anyone outside hears it fade as the car leaves, the way music from a passing car should sound. The car radio only searches now. The box used to invite you to paste a link, which never worked for ordinary players; type the name of a song and the radio finds it. The patrol car siren works properly. It is heard by the people in the car as well as everyone around, it follows the car instead of trailing behind it, it can be switched off in the middle without waiting for the sound to finish, and where more than one siren is available the driver can pick which one to use. A patrol car is not a taxi and no longer turns up in the list of taxis, and each area's patrol cars answer only to that area's police or its mayor.
new in 09.08.2026 football and the siren Football. A ball is sold in the points shop for four hundred. Use it outdoors and it lands on the ground where you stand, as a real thing on a real square: the surroundings scan finds it, you walk onto it, and shift and enter opens it. A hard kick sends it twelve squares the way you are facing, a tap moves it a few, and it stops when it meets a wall. Staff set the two goals by standing where a goal should be with the ball there. Put the ball in a goal and everybody on the map hears it, the score goes up and the ball goes back to the centre. A goal is worth two hundred and fifty points, ten a day each, so it stays a game. The siren no longer trails behind the car for the people inside it. They now get it straight, the same way the engine is handled from inside, instead of hearing it from wherever the car was a moment ago. Everyone outside hears it exactly as before. taxi stands Taxi stands. A stand deed is sold in the points shop for twenty five thousand; use it outdoors and your stand opens where you stand. Stand on it and press shift and enter to run it. A stand is a taxi firm. You take drivers on, up to eight of them, and whenever one of them is paid a fare on that map a tenth of it goes into your till. It comes out of the driver's share, not the passenger's pocket, so nobody pays a penny more because a stand exists and no money is conjured out of nothing. Empty the till whenever you like by standing on the stand. A stand has a standing of its own: the average of what passengers have said about its drivers. Who you take on matters, and passengers can see it before they choose. A driver can only be on one stand's books at a time, you earn nothing from your own driving, and letting somebody go or walking away from a stand is a single button either way. Take the stand up again and the deed comes back to your bag. lag fix The stutter that came back has been found and cut out. A background job that watches for carried carcasses was taking every online player's whole bag apart, line by line, every couple of seconds, only to decide whether to send an occasional warning. It now settles the odds first and then looks at the bag as one piece of text, which is a few thousand times less work. The patrol car siren now wails without gaps at a distance instead of arriving in separate bursts. patrol cars and taxi ratings A patrol car cannot be used as a taxi. It is a government car: it does not carry people for money, and the fare settings are gone from it. An officer at the wheel of a patrol car can put somebody in the back, from the car menu, as long as they are standing within a few steps. Whoever is put in can get out again with enter once the car has stopped, the same as any passenger. Passengers now rate the driver out of five when they pay their fare, and a driver's average shows up in the taxi list and on the screen you see before you get in. Good drivers get the work. Setting how many squares the distance charge falls due on now actually works. The option was there and the screen accepted your answer, but the reply was being dropped before it reached the code that saves it, so nothing changed. siren and prints The siren is heard properly now. The people in the patrol car could not hear it at all, because they were being treated the way they are for the engine, where the inside has its own sound and a siren has no inside version. And the three hundred step range existed on paper only: a moving sound that far away is silent, since the sound protocol has no volume of its own. Anyone between thirty and three hundred steps now gets a short burst of the siren placed near them in the direction the car is coming from, so it is heard at full strength and from the right side. No messages, just the sound. Photographs can be printed. From the camera entry, pay a hundred and fifty points and a print comes out as a real thing in your bag: hand it to anybody, gift it, trade it or sell it at a stall. Whoever ends up holding it can read exactly what the picture recorded, and they never need a camera of their own. fixes Patrol cars really are fast now. They were being treated as the cheapest model by every lookup, so despite the sixth gear they had the base car's speed, the base car's fuel tank and the weakest body in the game, and menus called them a Larkspur Estate. Sixth gear also had no engine ratio of its own, so the engine screamed at a fixed pitch instead of settling into the new gear. The siren no longer sends anybody a written message; you hear it. It now really does reach three hundred steps: the old version was quietly limited to about forty five because of how nearby players are gathered. The horn no longer double-plays. People in the car were getting the sound twice, once in their ears and once from the square the car had just left, which is where the clicking and the lagging behind came from. A siren left switched on now stops when the engine stops or the driver gets out, instead of wailing over an empty car for ever. The taxi fare settings could be changed by sending the packet directly, even by a passenger. Only the driver or the owner can change them now. police cars Police cars. Any map whose mayor has appointed police now keeps three patrol cars standing beside the mayor's board. They belong to nobody: they cannot be packed away, hired or sold, and if a map loses its police the empty ones are taken away again. A patrol car is the fastest thing on the road. It has six gears where every other car has five, and flat out in sixth it will leave a Meridian behind. Anyone can ride in a patrol car, but only the police, or the mayor of that map, can sit at the wheel, and the wheel cannot be handed to somebody without a badge. Patrol cars may drive onto any map. Q works the siren instead of the horn in a patrol car. The siren travels with the car so anyone near hears it move, and people further off, up to three hundred steps away anywhere on the map, are told which way it is coming from and how far. The police, and the mayor of the map you are standing on, can call a patrol car over from the mayor entry in village life. Only that map's own cars answer. fourth batch The PK warning now says what it actually does. It told you the flag was locked for forty minutes when the lock has been an hour for a long time. A server restart no longer wipes your PK lock. Turning the flag on and losing health locks it for an hour; a restart used to reset that to nothing, so anyone could turn PK off the moment the server came back. The remaining time is now carried across the restart and picks up where it left off. Logging out normally still clears it, as it always did. Cars can run people down, but only between players who have both turned PK on. If the driver has the flag and so does the person in the way, the car hits them, hurts them by how fast it was going, and throws them into the air. Anyone without the flag cannot be hit and cannot do the hitting, so a car can never be used as a weapon against a player who has not opted in. Passengers are never hit by their own car, and the same person cannot be run over twice within three seconds. third batch Animals cannot reach you through the car any more. A wolf that comes at a car with somebody in it now goes for the car itself: you take no damage, break no bones, and hear the animal tearing at the bodywork instead. Every car now has a body strength of its own, from five thousand on the cheapest up to twenty four thousand on the Meridian. Animal attacks eat into it, and you are told how the car is holding up. Run it down to nothing and the engine stops: the car will not start again until somebody works on it. A repair kit now puts a car completely right, body strength and all, and so does the mechanic. That is the only way back from a car the animals have wrecked. Flowers can be grown. Shake the seeds out of wild flowers with a knife and you get red, white or yellow rose seeds, tulips, sunflowers or lavender. They come up in two to five hours on open ground, the same as any other crop. Tie three of any one kind together with a piece of string for a bouquet, to give away or sell at a stall. A driver can now track the fare who called them. Wave for a taxi and the drivers who answer get you in their surroundings scan, with the direction and how far, until you get in or five minutes pass. second batch Fishing nets actually catch things now. A net used to make one attempt every ten minutes with an even chance of nothing at all, so filling one took the better part of an hour and half the time you came back to an empty net. It now tries every three minutes with a much better chance, and a lucky haul brings up two fish at once. A net fills in ten to twelve minutes. Cars cannot be driven into the public restrooms. Leave it outside and go in on foot. A passenger who cannot cover the fare now pays what they have, and the rest goes on their tab. The next fare they pay settles the old debt first, so the driver gets the money in the end instead of losing the ride entirely. Both of you are told exactly what happened. The horn follows you. Sounding it while driving used to leave the sound behind at the square you were on; the people in the car now hear it with them, while everyone outside still hears it from where the car was, the way a passing car should sound. Whoever is at the wheel cannot use look. Hand the wheel over or get out first; passengers can look as much as they like. Chickens can be hunted. A killed chicken leaves a body: use a knife to pluck and dress it for raw chicken, put that on a spit and cook it over a fire for roast chicken, or simmer the roast in a pot for chicken soup. The soup fills you, warms you and takes the edge off your thirst. cars Cars coast now. Letting go of the accelerator used to stop you dead in about three seconds; a car now rolls on the way a real one does, and how long it rolls depends on the gear you are in. Fifth gear will carry you a good ten seconds. The brake is as sharp as it ever was, so stopping when you mean to is unchanged. Idling burns fuel at a fifth of the rate driving does. Both now come off the same meter, so leaving the engine running while you stand about will empty the tank eventually, just five times slower than actually going somewhere. Rain stays outside. Anyone under a roof, in a shop, a house or anywhere the map marks as an inside area no longer gets rained on and no longer hears the rain, and it comes back the moment you step out. Thanks to Hannah for the suggestion. Nothing can be grown or left standing inside a building any more. The old test only knew a handful of map names; it now uses the map's own inside areas, so hospitals, shops and every other interior are covered wherever they are. Doorways are kept clear. Nothing can be put down on the square beside a door, a travel point or a staircase either, so a tent or a plant can no longer bury the way into a building. You choose your own bait. Fishing now has a bait entry: pick prepared bait, meat, worm or dough and the rod uses only that while you have it, or hand the choice back to the rod. Your choice is remembered through a restart. Fishing is quicker and fairer. The wait between casts is shorter, and you now have three seconds to strike when something takes the bait instead of one and a half. The skillet takes any mix of fish. Ten fish is ten fish: five carp and five salmon fill it just as well as ten of one kind. Using the toilet finally counts towards your daily care. It was the fifth thing on the list and nothing ever marked it, so nobody could reach five out of five or take the reward. Your compost heaps are described the way everything else is: how far and in which direction, or the name of the map. No more coordinates. The car key does everything now. Use it from your bag and the whole car menu opens wherever you are: it tells you which way your car is and how far, whether it is locked, and lets you lock it, start it, or pack it away without walking to it. Cars behave like cars. Fuel cannot go in with the engine running, at a pump or from a can. A car standing still will not pull away in third gear or higher, and you are told to shift down. You cannot step out onto a wall or into thin air, so pull forward a little first. The brake now sweeps from high to low with your speed. Taxi work is easier on everybody. The meter reads out every eight seconds instead of on every twentieth square, you can say how many squares the distance charge falls due on, and a ride under fifty squares is free, so nobody gets billed for climbing into the wrong car. Getting about has its own entry in village life: your car, the pumps and the mechanic, taxis, tours and a full guide to every key, gear and fare setting. The animal menu now explains, step by step, how to tame a chicken and what to do with it afterwards. Chickens are half as talkative as they were. When the server restarts, the reason is now given in plain words rather than the developer's shorthand.
new in 07.08.2026 The handmade gold wedding ring has a name of its own now: a golden marry ring, cast from a bar of gold with a stone mould over a fire. The plain golden ring that turns up in a love box is jewellery and nothing more; the chapel no longer takes it as a wedding ring. The bait board takes any raw meat or raw fish now. It only ever accepted one particular kind of meat that almost nobody carries, so bear meat and fish did nothing at all. Nothing can be left standing about inside shops and public buildings any more. Compost heaps in the gift shop are over. Fishing now follows the same rule everywhere it is not wanted. Anywhere a net is blocked, every rod and net is blocked with it, and that also covers anything the map marks as an inside area, so nobody fishes in a lobby, a shop or somebody's bathroom. Turning the engine off now really does silence it. If you started the car and switched it off again without moving, the engine kept running in your ears because the server never told your own client to stop. The key takes 0.9 seconds now. Fishing is banned wherever nets are banned. Rods, nets and the rest are now treated as one thing: if a place does not allow a net, it does not allow fishing at all, and that includes inside houses. Standing in somebody's jacuzzi with a rod is over. Your own things no longer come with map coordinates. Your plants, snares, nets and barn are now described the way everything else in the game is: how many steps away and in which direction, or just the name of the map if you are somewhere else. Staff still see the exact square, because they need it to move things. The fish now really does tell you when it takes the bait. The bite sound and a message were being skipped because of a bad reading of an empty record, so the first thing you ever heard was the fish leaving again. Both the sound and the message are there now. An umbrella keeps the rain off. Hold one and you no longer get wet while it rains, and you hear the rain on the canopy while you carry it. Fishing nets catch real fish. A net used to hand you plain fish whatever was in the water; now every fish in it is drawn from the same pool as rod fishing, night and rain rules included, and you are told what you took out. Peeled mangoes can be eaten. The peeled one had no food record at all, so peeling a mango made it useless. Nothing can be planted indoors any more: shops, workplaces, anywhere the place itself is described as inside, and houses without a garden. Villas still have their garden. The choose-what-you-want menu now closes when you pick something, instead of sitting there after the job is done. Get into a taxi and you are asked where you want to go. What you pick is passed to the driver, so a driver who does not know the way at least knows the destination. A driver can no longer change the fare while a passenger is aboard: what you agreed when you got in is what you pay. Cars can no longer be driven into quest maps that have a way in and no way out. Turning the key now takes 1.2 seconds instead of 2 before the engine catches. Cars have a voice now. Turning the key gives you the starter, and the engine catches two seconds later instead of instantly. Driving across into another map gives everybody in the car the sound of the crossing. Every choice in a car menu makes a click that people standing near the car hear too. When the tank drops to ten or less a warning sounds every three seconds. Locking or unlocking with the key works the lock properly and answers with a chirp two seconds later, and the key now has a ten second wait so nobody can stand there chirping it over and over. Above a fair speed a second engine layer comes in, so the car really does get louder and fuller as it winds out, and drops back when you change up. When an officer arrests somebody, the handcuffs are heard where the arrest happens, by everybody standing near it. A car packed away in the last second before a restart could vanish: the car was taken off the map and written to disk, but the item never reached your bag because the server had already saved everybody. The restart no longer accepts anything after the final save, so the window is closed, and any hired car that went missing this way is put back in your bag automatically the next time you log in, with the hire still running. The taxi now has a meter. If a driver charges by the square you hear what the ride has cost so far every twenty squares, so nobody has to guess what they will owe when they get out. Taxi drivers get a record. When you leave the wheel you hear your shift: how many rides and how many points today, and how many you have driven in your whole driving life. The taxi list also shows how experienced each driver is, so you can pick somebody who has done it before. A locked car no longer turns customers away. If a driver is at the wheel and the car is working as a taxi, a passenger can get in even though the car is locked. The wheel itself is still yours alone. There is a fuel pump and a mechanic on the garage forecourt in the village, around 95 across and 305 up. Drive on and open the car menu: the pump fills the tank at three points a unit, and the mechanic takes forty off the damage for three hundred points and one bronze or iron bar. On foot you can buy a fuel can or a repair kit there instead. The teacher post finally has work to do. A teacher can sit somebody down and teach them mining, fishing or hunting; for half an hour after that the pupil does noticeably better at it. Teaching counts as a shift, so the teacher draws wages for it. One lesson every ten minutes, one lesson per pupil every two hours. A gold ring you cast yourself now counts as a wedding ring. Its standing sits above silver and below the bought gold ring, and a couple wearing gold gets a little extra on their anniversary. Gold is worth digging for at last. Village life has a new first entry: what should I do now. It looks at your bag, your trade, your home and today's tasks and tells you one concrete thing to go and do, instead of leaving you to guess which explanation to read. Eggs are worth collecting. Two eggs and a skillet over a fire make fried eggs; three eggs and two milk make a custard; two eggs and three wheat make fresh pasta. Tame a chicken, put up a barn, and call in once a day. There is a contest every week. The discipline goes round mining, fishing, farming and foraging; everything you do in that trade counts automatically, and the first three take five hundred, three hundred and a hundred and fifty points on the Sunday. Village life, town and law, this week's contest. Master and apprentice. An old hand can take a beginner under their wing: the beginner keeps everything they earn, the master is paid a tenth on top out of the town purse, and when the apprentice has drawn twenty wages they both take fifteen hundred points and part as equals. Work and money menu. The weather is real now. Rain comes and goes, you hear it start and stop, fires left burning in the open are beaten down by it, and the fish rise better while it lasts. The town has a treasury. Half of every market stall fee goes into it, and the mayor can pay it out to the officers, teachers and guides, split equally. Nothing is printed: it is money people have actually paid in. It is on the mayor's board and anybody can look at it. Two hidden sources of server freezing are gone. Picking up a gift used to rewrite the whole server data set to disk on every single pickup, and rescuing a player who logged in inside a wall used to scan over a million squares before giving up. Both are now bounded, so the short stalls that came with busy gift rounds and with the stuck rescue notice should not happen any more. Mining now has an end to it. Two copper bars and one tin bar still make bronze, and now two bronze bars with a piece of wood forge a bronze pickaxe: about seven hundred swings and ore roughly six times in seven, against four hundred swings and seven times in ten for iron. Gold is finally worth digging for, and it is purely for show. One gold bar with a stone mould on a fire casts a golden ring, and two bars cast a golden necklace. Both can be worn. Every part of Village life now opens with a How all of this works entry. It says where each thing happens, which map to go to, which key to press and what you get out of it, in one page per section. The mayor board is no longer empty for ordinary players. Alongside the past mayors you can now read what the mayor promised and their report card, see the town office and how to apply for a post in it, read how the mayor system actually works, jump to the notice board and the local rules, and sign to have the mayor removed or make a complaint. The town posts are explained at last. Officers, teachers and guides each have a page saying what they do, how many posts a map has, who is holding them right now and how to apply. It is on the mayor board and in the work menu. Wild chickens now live in the world. Look for them in the orchard, the vineyard, around the village and out in the open country. They are harmless, and with tame feed they are the easiest animals to tame. A car stuck in a wall or left on the far side of the world is no longer lost. The owner packs it away from the car menu at any distance, as long as nobody is sitting in it, and sets it down again wherever they like. A car put back in your bag now keeps its fuel, its damage and the distance it has driven. Setting it down again no longer hands you a free full tank and a free repair. Only the person at the wheel can sound the horn. Passengers and taxi customers cannot. The owner or the driver can now see who is in the car, put somebody out of it, and hand the wheel to a passenger. The car has to be stopped for both. Cars can be parked inside walls. If you get out where there is no room, you step out to the nearest clear ground and the car stays exactly where you parked it. A parcel that is being sent to you can no longer be taken by you as a courier job. Somebody else has to bring it; wait for it at the board it is going to. Gifts appear in the gift shop at the intended rate again. A server change had quietly slowed the shop down. Information screens no longer trap you. Choosing copy to clipboard used to leave some players stuck in an empty list with no way out. Some maps were unreadable to the server and were loading as empty places with no ground at all. The arena, two of the plains and the pyramid island are repaired. The server handles a crowd logging in at once far more smoothly, so the stutter right after a restart is much shorter, and several things that were quietly slowing the whole world down have been fixed.
new in 06.08.2026 Cars have arrived. A car is hired from the shops and set down anywhere outdoors: stand on a clear square, use it from your bag, and the car is parked there with the key handed to you. There are four of them. The Larkspur Estate is a cheap and cheerful family car, the Aurora Saloon is a fifth quicker with a bigger tank, the Falcon GT is half again as fast as the family car, and the Meridian Veloce is nearly twice the speed of the Larkspur. Cars are hired, not bought. The points shop hires one out for a day, from five thousand points for the Larkspur up to twenty thousand for the Meridian. The credit shop hires the same cars for three days, from two hundred credits up to eight hundred. Getting in: walk onto the parked car and press shift and enter. The first person in takes the wheel and anybody else rides along. If something else is standing on the same square a short menu asks which one you meant. You drive by holding an arrow key. Hold the up arrow to accelerate and the down arrow to brake. The left and right arrows turn you forty five degrees at a time and speak the direction; the car follows your nose, so you steer by turning and then holding the accelerator. While you are in a car you do not walk at all and there are no footsteps. The gearbox is a real one: neutral, five forward gears and reverse. T changes up and alt plus T changes down. You cannot skip a gear on the way up, so first has to be wound right out to the top before second will go in, and so on to fifth. Dropping a gear while you are travelling fast makes the engine scream and hauls the car back, exactly as it would in a real car. From neutral with the car stopped, alt plus T selects reverse, complete with the reversing beep; the up arrow then backs the car up. Let go of the accelerator and the car does not stop dead. It slows down through the gears the way a car does, so leave yourself room. The brake has a voice of its own: it sings high while you are travelling fast and drops as the car slows, then stops when you do. What you hear depends on where you are sitting. Inside the car you hear your own engine rising and falling with the revs, and the world outside goes quiet. Everybody else, including people in other cars, hears your car go past, and the faster you are travelling the higher it sings. Cars drive through walls and through water, so nothing blocks your route, and driving onto a travel point takes the car and everybody in it through to the next map. Fuel goes about a hundred and fifty squares to the litre, so a full tank is a long journey. A can of fuel pours forty litres in and a repair kit puts the bodywork right; both are sold for points. Hard driving in the top gears slowly wears the car, which is what the repair kit is for. The engine is started and stopped from the car menu. Getting out does not switch it off, and it burns a little fuel while it idles, so stop it when you are done. The owner can stop it from outside the car as well. Your car key is the horn from the driver's seat, and it locks or unlocks the doors when you use it standing outside. Q also sounds the horn while you are driving. There is a radio in the car with twelve stations. It plays for everyone in the car and follows you down the road, so people you pass hear it go by. Taxi work: set a fare from the car menu and passengers pay it when they get out. The money goes straight from them to you, even if you are not online at the moment they leave. You can lock your car and keep a list of people who are allowed to drive it. Anybody else who tries the door finds it locked. Lost your car? The car menu will tell you where it is standing, and it shows up in your surroundings scan by model name like anything else. The health check key reads out the engine, the gear, how fast you are going, the fuel, the bodywork, the distance driven and your taxi fare. Packing a car away puts it back in your bag, but it does not stop the hire; the clock runs whether the car is parked or in your bag, and the menu tells you how long is left. When a hire runs out the car goes back wherever it is. Parked on a map it is collected on the spot, even if you are offline; sitting in your bag it is taken out of your bag, either straight away or the next time you log in. Cars and car keys cannot be dropped, traded, gifted, put in a safe or a vault, sent to a partner or handed to a courier. Whoever hires a car keeps it. If the server restarts or you drop out while you are sitting in a car, you are back in that car, in the same seat, when you come in again. Watching somebody who is in a car now lets you hear the engine from inside it exactly as the driver does; watching somebody standing near a car lets you hear it go past the way they do. A teleporter is now taken out of your bag the moment you pick a map, not when you land. If you drop out or the server restarts while you are still travelling, your journey is remembered: when you come back you are held still for a few seconds and then the teleporter carries you the rest of the way, at no further cost. The settings screen has a music box volume. Set it and save, and every music box you can hear plays at that level from then on, including after restarting the game. The settings screen also has a new option: keep my messages when I close the game. With it on, everything in your message buffers is still there when you start the game again, even after a full restart. Turn it off and the saved history is deleted straight away. Voice chat has been overhauled and now works better and more reliably than it did before. Cars have arrived. A car of your own can be set down anywhere there is room: stand on a clear square, use the car from your bag and it is parked there, with a car key handed to you at the same time. Getting in: walk onto the parked car and press shift+enter. The first person in takes the driver's seat, everybody after that rides as a passenger. If something else is standing on the same square, a small menu asks which one you meant. The engine note rises and falls with the gear you are in and how hard you are working it, so you can hear how fast you are going without being told. Fuel is real. The tank holds a hundred litres, driving burns it by the tile, a badly damaged car drinks more, and the engine idling still costs you a little. You are warned at twenty, at ten and at five litres, and when it runs dry the engine stops where it stands. A can of fuel pours forty litres into the tank and is on sale for points. A repair kit takes forty points off the bodywork damage and is also on sale for points; a car above seventy damage can break down on you mid-drive. The health check key now also reads out your car: whether the engine is running, what gear you are in, how much fuel is left, how bent the bodywork is, how far the car has been driven in total, and your taxi fare if you have set one. Drive onto a travel point and the car goes through with you, passengers and all. No getting out and getting back in at every border. There is a radio in the car. Pick a station from the car menu and it plays for everyone in the car and follows you down the road; anyone standing nearby will hear it go past. The car key doubles as a horn. Use it while sitting in the driver's seat and the horn sounds; use it standing outside and it locks or unlocks the doors. You can lock your car and keep a list of people who are allowed to drive it. Anybody else who tries the door finds it locked. Taxi work: set a fare from the car menu and passengers pay it when they get out. The money goes straight from them to you, even if you are not online at the moment they leave. Everything about the car is in one place: Village life, then Home and comfort, then Your car. Engine on and off, get in and out, the radio, the taxi fare, the lock, who may drive, picking the car back up, and a page explaining how the whole thing works. Your car stays where you left it through a server restart, with its fuel, its damage, its lock and its allowed list intact. Cars are now driven with the arrow keys, the same keys you walk with. Hold one down and the car pulls away, picks up speed and changes up through the gears on its own; let go and it slows down through the gears and rolls to a stop. The engine note climbs inside each gear and drops as it changes up, the way a real engine does, so you can hear exactly how fast you are going. The first press of an arrow key with the engine off turns the key and starts the engine, so you no longer have to go into the menu to get moving. Cars now drive through water. Fords, shallows and the open sea are all drivable, so you do not have to go the long way round to cross a river. Fuel goes much further: about 150 squares to the litre, so a full tank is roughly fifteen thousand squares of driving. Idling costs a litre every minute and a half instead of every thirty seconds. The horn now only works with the engine running. Cars are driven by holding an arrow key, and while you are in a car you no longer walk at all: no footsteps, no stepping about, the car simply goes where you point it. Getting into a car now quiets the world outside it. The ambience, the rain and the night sounds all drop away, and what you hear is your engine, your radio and the road under the tyres. The car door is a single sound again instead of two on top of each other. Q sounds the horn from the driver's seat, enter gets you out, and shift and enter opens the car menu without leaving the wheel. A teleporter is now taken out of your bag the moment you pick a map, not when you land. If you drop out or the server restarts while you are still in the air, your journey is remembered. When you come back you are held still for a few seconds and then the teleporter picks up where it left off and carries you the rest of the way, at no further cost. Driving no longer throws you out of the car by mistake. The car only lets go of you if you genuinely end up on another map. The engine note is much easier on the ear: the pitch now moves in a narrow, realistic band instead of swinging from a growl to a screech. The sound of the tyres on the road no longer fires several times a second. You cannot empty a second can of fuel into the tank while the first is still pouring, and a car with nothing wrong with it can no longer be repaired. Cars have a real gearbox now. T changes up a gear and alt plus T changes down. You cannot skip a gear on the way up: first has to be wound right out to the top before second will go in, and so on to fifth. Dropping a gear while you are travelling fast makes the engine scream and hauls the car back, exactly as it would in a real car. From neutral with the car stopped, alt plus T selects reverse, complete with the reversing beep. The up arrow then backs the car up, and coming out of reverse gives you the second beep. Hold the up arrow to accelerate and the down arrow to brake. Let go and the car does not stop dead any more; it slows down the way a car does. The brake has a voice of its own: it sings high while you are travelling fast and drops as the car slows, then stops when you do. The left and right arrows now turn you forty five degrees at a time and speak the direction. The car does not slide sideways: you point it and then hold the accelerator. What you hear from a car depends on where you are sitting. Inside, you hear your own engine rising and falling with the revs and nothing of your car from the outside. Everyone else hears the car go past, and the faster it is travelling the higher it sings. Cars now drive through walls as well as water, so nothing stops you getting where you are going. The car menu will tell you where your car is standing if you have lost it, and the health check reads out how fast you are going. The horn can be sounded up to three times a second. Hard driving in the top gears slowly wears the bodywork, which is what a repair kit is for. The engine is started and stopped from the car menu only. Holding an arrow key no longer turns the key for you. Getting out no longer switches the engine off. It keeps running until you stop it from the menu, which you can now do from outside the car as well, and it burns a little fuel while it idles. Each gear now has its own voice. The engine revs climb as you wind a gear out and drop the moment you change up, because the revs are worked out from the gear you are in rather than from your speed alone. Second, third and fourth no longer sound identical. First gear no longer sounds like the engine is bogging down: the idle sits higher, the way a real engine does. The higher the gear the more slowly the car gathers speed, so you can hear the engine working its way up through each one. Driving across a map boundary works properly now. The car checks every square it passes over, so you can no longer fly straight over a crossing in top gear and end up still on the same map. A car will not bounce back and forth between two maps any more: after a crossing it waits a few seconds before it can cross again. Crossings that put you back at your own coordinates on the other side now do so correctly on each axis separately, so you no longer land at the wrong height or corner. You cannot drive into the maps that ask for a card at the door. Leave the car and go in on foot. There are four cars now instead of one. The Larkspur Estate is the cheap and cheerful family car you already know; the Aurora Saloon is a fifth quicker with a bigger tank; the Falcon GT is half again as fast as the family car; and the Meridian Veloce is nearly twice the speed of the Larkspur. Cars are hired rather than bought. The points shop hires one out for a day, from five thousand points for the Larkspur up to twenty thousand for the Meridian. The credit shop hires the same cars for three days, from two hundred credits up to eight hundred. When a hire runs out the car is collected wherever it happens to be, even if you are not online at the time. Anybody sitting in it is put out on the road first. A parked car now tells you which model it is in your surroundings scan, and the health check reads out how many squares a minute you are covering. If the server restarts or you drop out while you are sitting in a car, you are back in that car when you come in again. The settings screen has a music box volume. Set it and save, and every music box you can hear plays at that level from then on; the setting is remembered when you restart the game. The music box volume setting works properly now. Turning it down no longer silences the music completely, and the level you save is the level you get every time, including after restarting the game. You can no longer stand up while you are sitting in a car, so pressing space in the driver's seat never gives you the bicycle warning again. The horn is still Q. Spectators hear the car now. Watch somebody who is sitting in a car and you hear the engine from inside it exactly as the driver does, revs and all; watch somebody standing near a car and you hear it go past the way they do. Sitting down and standing up with the sit key works again everywhere, including after getting off a bike. A change made earlier in the night was swallowing the key press before it reached the sit and stand code. Shift and enter opens the car menu from the driver's seat again; it was being swallowed by the same problem. Getting into a car while you are on a bike now gets you off the bike properly first. Before, the bike was left behind in a half state and you could never ride a bike or a racing bike again for the rest of that session. The settings screen has a new option: keep my messages when I close the game. With it on, everything in your message buffers is still there when you start the game again, even after a full restart. Turn it off and the saved history is deleted straight away and does not come back. Fixed the saved message history multiplying itself. The file it is kept in was being appended to rather than rewritten, so every save added another copy of everything and two private messages came back as twenty six. Files that already grew are cleaned up automatically the next time the game starts. Packing a car away now puts it back in your bag, hired or not. The hire keeps running while it sits in your bag, so packing it away does not pause the clock, and the menu tells you how much time is left. When a hire runs out the car goes back wherever it is: parked on a map it is collected on the spot even if you are offline, and sitting in your bag it is taken out of your bag, either straight away or the moment you next log in. Cars and car keys cannot be dropped, traded, gifted, put in a safe or a vault, sent to a partner or handed to a courier. A car stays with the person who hired it. Trying to set down a car whose hire has already run out now tells you so and takes the item, instead of the car appearing and vanishing a few seconds later. If you press the accelerator while the car is in neutral it now reminds you every couple of seconds to press T for first gear, or alt and T for reverse.
new in 05.08.2026 If your connection drops at a bad moment you can end up standing inside a wall; the game now notices this when you log in and moves you to the nearest clear ground. Taking your music box back now costs 10000 ln points and asks you to confirm first. EVERYTHING NEW IS IN ONE PLACE. Open the game menu and choose Village life. Everything below is reached from there, grouped into living off the land, kitchen and health, work and money, home and comfort, town and law, people, and family. There are no commands to learn: every single thing here is done from a menu or by using an item. FISHING. Take a rod to any water, use it to cast, and use it again the moment you hear the bite. There are twenty species of fish, each with its own habits: some only bite at night, some only in the rain, and each prefers a particular bait. A better rod waits less, breaks less on a big fish and finds rare species more often. FISHING RECORDS AND TOURNAMENTS. Every fish you land is weighed and counted. The heaviest of each species is kept in a server record book, and fishing tournaments are run with the entry fees as the prize. COOKING YOUR CATCH. Every species now has its own dish: grilled trout, baked carp, catfish stew, smoked eel, sturgeon steak, golden carp feast and the rest. Stand beside a lit fire and use the raw fish to cook it. Raw river fish should never be eaten, and a bigger fish makes a more filling meal. FARMING. Plant a seed, water it, and come back when it is grown. Growth needs regular watering, and a plant left dry for six hours stops growing until you water it again. FERTILISER. Manure worked into a planted crop makes it grow noticeably faster. Manure worked into bare ground makes the soil there richer for everything you plant afterwards. SOIL QUALITY. Ground remembers what you have done to it. Harvesting tires the soil; manure feeds it. Poor soil yields less, rich soil yields more. FIELD OWNERSHIP. A crop belongs to whoever planted it. Nobody else can harvest it, though a husband or wife may harvest their partner's crop. GRAFTING. With a grafting knife you can join two fruit trees into a grafted sapling, which grows fruit of both kinds at once. PESTS. A plant can be attacked by pests and will stop growing until you pour a herbal remedy or a salve around its roots. WHEAT AND BREAD. Wheat grown in your own field is ground and baked with a skillet into two loaves of bread. Bread, eggs, milk and rendered fat can all be eaten now. TREES YOU GROW. A sapling left to grow becomes a tree, and a tree cut with an axe gives twelve lengths of wood. FORAGING. The woods give mushrooms, herbs and wild flowers, and they grow back over time in the places they belong. MUSHROOMS ARE DANGEROUS. A wild mushroom you have picked is unidentified. Eating one you have not had identified can make you very ill. Mushrooms you grow yourself on a mushroom log are always safe. MUSHROOM LOGS. Take a mushroom log somewhere dark, a cave or a mine, and set it down. About three hours later use it again and gather what has grown. BEEKEEPING. Put up a beehive on open ground and the bees fill the comb by themselves. They work far faster where there are wild flowers nearby, and you can hear the hive humming when you stand close. HONEY. Comb lifted from your own hive is made into honey jars, and beeswax melted with herbs makes a healing salve. HUNTING AND TRAPPING. Set snares where animals actually walk, bait them if you can, and come back later to see what they caught. A tracking kit tells you what has passed by recently. MINING. Ore veins open up in caves and mines. Work them with a pickaxe for stone, iron, copper, tin and gold; an ore detector finds them for you. GEM CUTTING AND POTTERY. Rough gems can be cut, clay can be thrown into pots and bowls, and gem dust with sticky paper makes good sandpaper. GLASS, LEATHER AND REMEDIES. A workshop bench turns sand into glass, hides into leather and a leather jacket, herbs into remedies, and meat or worms into prepared bait, which is now the best bait in the game. CLEANING WORK. Rubbish builds up where people gather and starts to smell. Clear it with a trash bag and you are paid by the piece. COMPOST AND MANURE. Cleaning out a dirty toilet, or mucking out your own barn, leaves you with a pail. Set the pail down on open ground to start a compost heap, add as much as you like to it, and lift it as manure about four hours later. ANIMALS OF YOUR OWN. Tame a wild animal with feed and it becomes yours. A dog or a coyote growls a warning long before you hear a predator yourself. BARNS. Put up a barn with a barn kit and keep your chickens and goats there. Come by once a day for eggs and milk, and muck the place out for manure. FISHING NETS. Set a net in the water and it fishes while you are away. Stand within three steps and open the fishing nets menu to empty it, or to take the net back. THE HARVEST FESTIVAL. A festival comes round regularly, and while it lasts the land and the water are more generous than usual. THE ANIMAL GUIDE AND THE DANGER RADAR. Learn every animal by its sound from the guide, and switch the danger radar on or off as you prefer. COOKING SKILL. The more you cook, the better you get. A skilled cook burns food less often and turns out meals that do you more good. WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN EATING. Your last meals are remembered, so you can see at a glance whether you have been living on berries alone. TRADES AND WAGES. Take up a trade and the work you already do starts paying a wage. There are sixteen trades: fisherman, miner, farmer, beekeeper, cook, street cleaner, forager, police officer, barber, tailor, restaurant cook, barman, musician, night watchman, teacher and guide. HOW A WAGE WORKS. Each trade has a daily quota and a daily wage. Do part of the quota and you draw part of the wage; do more than the quota and the extra is paid at half rate. SENIORITY. What you earn in a trade becomes your standing in it, from newly started up to master, and a higher standing adds up to twenty per cent to your wages. Seniority is kept even if you leave that trade and come back to it later. CHANGING TRADE. Your first trade is free. Changing later costs five hundred points and a day's wait, so choose with some thought. THE TRADES BOARD. See how every trade is doing across the whole village, how much has been paid out in each, and where you stand yourself. CHARTERED POSTS. Police officer, teacher and guide are limited posts, and you apply for them rather than simply picking them. Write in your own words why the post should go to you; the mayor of the map reads exactly that and decides. If nobody looks at your application for two days and there is a seat free, it is granted anyway. POLICE. An officer may only arrest somebody two different people have reported, and every arrest opens a court case. That is the law and it is not up to the officer. TEACHERS. A teacher gives real lessons to players in their first week: staying alive the first day, food and water, cold and clothing, animals, trading without being cheated, and finding your way. The teacher is paid properly when a pupil is still playing three days later, so what is rewarded is not the lesson but the person who stayed. GUIDES. A guide writes a route of stops with their own words for each one, then takes people round it. While the tour is running, standing on a stop reads it out to everybody walking with the guide. The guide sets the fee and the fee goes to the guide, not to the game. TRADING FACE TO FACE. Trade with somebody standing near you on a proper trade screen that shows both sides of the deal. Both must accept, and nobody has to hand anything over first. YOUR TRADING RECORD. Every completed trade is remembered, so people can see how you have dealt with others. YOUR SAFE. Keep valuables in your safe and they can never be taken from you by any means. GROUP VAULTS. A group can share a vault, and the keeper decides who may take from it. MARKET STALLS. Set up your own stall wherever people walk past and it keeps selling for you even when you are offline. MARKET PRICES. A public board shows what things are actually selling for at the stalls, so you can price your own goods sensibly. GIFTS. Give something to somebody near you, and see everything you have given and been given. CHEATING REPORTS. If somebody cheats you in a deal you can report it, and the report follows them. EXPRESS PARCELS. Run a parcel across the country against the clock. The fee depends on the time you are given, and a fragile parcel breaks if you take too much damage on the way. THE AMMUNITION BENCH. Firing a modern weapon usually leaves the brass case behind. At the bench you cast lead from three pieces of scrap metal beside a lit fire, mix gunpowder from three lots of ash and two matches, and seat a case, a measure of powder and a lead shot into one working round. YOUR HOME. Your own place now has a washroom, a bath, house parties, a visitors' book that records who came in, and photographs on the wall. MOVING HOUSE. You can pick your home up and set it down somewhere else for five hundred ln credits, with a confirmation first. Everything inside stays exactly as it is. BARBERS AND TAILORS. A barber cuts hair and a tailor mends and lines clothing so the cold bites less. Both are player trades, and what they charge is between the two of you. AQUARIUMS. Keep a fish you caught in an aquarium at home, where visitors can hear what is in it. THE INN. Rent a room at the inn and sleep better while it lasts. BOOKING A TABLE. Book a table with somebody who cooks, and both of you have the booking on record. YOUR LOOK. Your hair and clothing changes are remembered, so you can look back at how you have turned yourself out. RACES. A race is called by a mayor or the staff, entry costs two hundred points, and the whole pot goes to whoever covers the most ground. The race book keeps every winner. THE MAYOR. Mayors now make promises they can be held to, carry a report card, and can be removed by the people who elected them. THE NOTICE BOARD AND LOCAL RULES. A map can have its own posted rules, and breaking one can be reported to the police. THE TOWN OFFICE. The record of the village: past mayors and winners, the crime record, public polls, your own identity card, and what things cost region by region. CEREMONIES. Achievements worth marking are announced properly instead of quietly. THE INSTITUTIONS. A school, a library, guilds, an animal shelter and a charity box. The library reading room holds six real subjects about this world, and what you read is recorded. THE COURTS. A case opened by an arrest is heard by the mayor. Witnesses may give evidence, evidence may be gathered, lawyers may speak for the accused, and prisoners can work off part of a sentence. CORRUPTION IS PUBLIC. Anything offered to somebody in office is written into a public record. Nothing about it is secret. APPRENTICESHIPS. Take a master or take on an apprentice; what the apprentice produces earns the master a small share, and the apprenticeship ends with a graduation. WHAT PEOPLE WANT NEXT. Players can vote on what should be built next, and the standings are public. WEEKLY GOALS. A personal goal each week, and a reward for meeting it. GUIDED TOURS. Tours running on your map are listed for you to join. THE VOLUNTEER RESCUE DRILL. A mayor or the staff can call a practice muster once a week on a map. Everybody has ten minutes to answer the call and reach the muster point. Everyone who arrives in time is noted, and once a week that is worth points, with a little more when four or more people turn up. FRIENDS. Keep a friends list, see when a friend comes online, and decide for yourself how much of your profile other people may see. Privacy starts closed, not open. THE COMMUNITY BOARD AND PROFILES. A place to write to the whole village, and a profile of your own. FAMILY. Married couples get a shared weekly goal, a family tree, and a village newspaper that reports what has been happening. DAILY TASKS. A short list of tasks each day, a reward at the end of the week, and a record of what you have done. PHOTOGRAPH ALBUMS. Sort your photographs into named albums and read a whole album back at once. PHOTOGRAPHS ON YOUR WALL. Hang up to six photographs on the wall of your own home. Anybody who comes in can read them, and they stay on the wall even if you clear the camera's memory. THE PHOTOGRAPH STUDIO. A studio backdrop from the points shop lets you take a proper posed portrait, choosing from eight poses and six painted backgrounds. THE PHOTOGRAPH EXHIBITION. Hang one picture a month in the exhibition for five hundred points, vote once for somebody else's, and the whole pot goes to whoever the village likes best. Past winners are kept in a hall of fame. PHOTOGRAPHS AS EVIDENCE. A photograph that actually caught somebody can be handed to the police, or filed as evidence in an open court case. It does not decide anything by itself; the judge still reads everything together. MUSIC LIFTS YOU. Standing within ten steps of a playing music box slowly makes you less tired. It helps, but it is not a substitute for sleep. TAKING A MUSIC BOX BACK. The owner of a music box can now pick it up again from the box menu and set it down somewhere better. NOTHING CAN BE PLACED ON TOP OF SOMETHING ELSE. You can no longer put a piano, a music box, a shelter, a market stall, a barn, a hive, a snare, a net, a compost heap, a mushroom log or a plant on a square that already has something on it, and the game tells you exactly what is already there. IF TWO THINGS DO SHARE A SQUARE. Pressing shift and enter on a square with more than one thing on it now opens a short menu asking which one you want, so a courier board, a doorway or a restroom door can never be hidden by something left on top of it. NOTHING MAY BE LEFT STANDING IN THE CASINO OR THE PUBLIC RESTROOMS. Everything in those places is something somebody needs to walk up to and use. YOUR INVENTORY IS SAFE IN THE ARENA. If the server restarts while you are in a PK arena, your inventory is now put back automatically the next time you log in. Nothing is lost. FIXED: restaurant cooks were never credited for the plates they served and so could never draw their wages. FIXED: prepared bait was made but never actually used when fishing. FIXED: the trade screen lost its options after the first screen. FIXED: tracking a beehive led you to the wrong place. FIXED: a fishing net you had set could be neither emptied nor taken back. FIXED: several items could be picked up and carried but had no purpose at all, among them bread, wheat, eggs, milk, fat, bones, sinew, beeswax, gem dust and clay bowls. All of them now do something. FIXED: crafting no longer eats your materials when your bag is already full of the thing you were making. FIXED: a room at the inn lasted eight hours, which made no sense next to how long sleep actually takes; it is now ninety minutes. FIXED: distances in the nearby scan read as nought tiles away when something was under your feet.
new in 04.08.2026 Auctions no longer use credits only. Every auction now says what it wants to be paid with, and that can be ln credits, ln points, or an ordinary item such as a teleporter. For example, ten death free cards may be auctioned and paid for in teleporters, so a bid of three means three teleporters, not three credits. Because of this, read the announcement carefully before you bid. The opening message, the reminders and the bid announcements all name the payment, for example "opening at 1x teleporter" or "Smith has placed a bid of 3x teleporter". If you are not sure, just type /bid on its own. It tells you what is being sold, what the payment is, the current highest bid and the smallest bid that would win the lead, without placing anything. Only after that type /bid followed by your amount, and confirm on the screen that appears. What you bid is held from your bag while you are in the lead and comes straight back the moment somebody outbids you. A bid cannot be taken back, so check the payment first. Auctions may also be started automatically by the server from time to time, so keep an ear on the announcements.
new in 29.07.2026 restrooms added in allmost all map, to follow the toulet places, press k, there you will find the public restroom Music boxes are here! Buy one from the credit shop, place it wherever you like, and fill the area with real music: search for any song by name and the box will play it for everyone standing nearby. Every box belongs to the player who placed it. Stand at your box and press shift and enter to open its menu, where you can search for a song, stop the music, or turn repeat on and off. you can lock your music box. An unlocked box can be used by anyone who walks up to it, which is perfect for a village square or a party. A locked box can only be used by its owner, so nobody can change your song or blast something you did not choose. The lock is remembered forever, even after you log out or the server restarts. Music boxes now also show up when you press m to look around: you will hear who owns the box, whether it is locked, and what song is playing on it right now, so you can find the party or find the quiet. New: toilets and bodily needs. Your character now has a body that works. The more you drink, the more your bladder fills, and the more you eat, the more your bowels fill. Your usual thirst and hunger keys now also tell you, in plain words, how badly you need a toilet. It builds up slowly, roughly one visit every hour or two of normal play, and it is saved when you log out, so you cannot escape it by leaving the game. Public restrooms have been built on almost every map in the world. Press m to find the one near you, walk to the door and press shift and enter to go in. Inside there is an entrance hall with a mens restroom and a ladies restroom, and you can only enter the one that matches your character. Each side has three toilet cubicles, wash basins, soap dispensers, and a shower area that is closed for now because the water is not connected yet. To use a cubicle, stand on it and press shift and enter to sit down. The lid must be open, the cubicle must be free, and you must take off whatever you are wearing on your legs first. While seated you cannot walk, press enter to relieve yourself, and it will not all come out at once, so keep pressing until you feel the relief. Press shift and enter to stand up again. Please be civilised. Press space at a cubicle to flush, and wash your hands at a basin, standing still while the water runs. Everything is remembered: the next person to check that cubicle will hear who used it last, whether they flushed, whether they washed their hands, and whether the bowl is clean or filthy. Standing at a cubicle, press enter for a small menu to open or close the lid or to flush. If you ignore your body for too long you will get warnings, you will hear yourself struggling, and eventually you will stumble and fall to the ground every few steps until you find a toilet. So plan ahead, especially before a long hunt. Fixed the sound gone problem
new in 27.07.2026 camera is now added in credit store! Mayor system: Added the mayor system. Selected maps can now hold weekly elections and be ruled by a player mayor. Elections: when an election opens, the whole server is told. The first 10 minutes are the candidacy phase, where any player can run for office at the mayor board of that map for a fee of 5000 ln points. The fee is never refunded, win or lose. The next 10 minutes are the voting phase. The candidate with the most votes becomes the mayor for 7 days. If only one candidate runs, that player takes office unopposed. If nobody runs, the map stays free of any mayor. To keep elections honest, each device may cast only one vote and register only one candidacy, and accounts must be at least 7 days old to vote or to run. Mayor salary: every day of the term, the mayor receives 1000 ln points and 5 ln credits, paid automatically, online or offline. The mayor's office: each election map has an office building. Its door and its board can be found with the m key, and the zone itself carries the name of the current mayor, so everyone knows whose office they are standing in. The office is locked while a map has no mayor. The board shows the mayor in charge, how much of the term is left, how many tolls have been collected this term, and the list of past mayors. Mayor tools: the mayor can make one announcement a day to everyone on the map, set a welcome message that visitors hear at the office, and manage a free guest list of up to 5 players. Titles: while in office, a mayor is announced with the title of the map, for example, mayor of the village, when other players look around. Mayor menu: a new Mayor entry has been added to the game menu. It works from anywhere and shows every election map at a glance, who rules it, how much of the term is left or how long an election phase still has, and a full report per map including the number of votes the mayor received, when they took office, when the next election is due, the tolls collected, the salary days paid, the current toll price and whether your own pass is valid, expired or exempt. The menu also holds a hall of fame of every mayor who has ever served and your own record of terms, votes and tolls, and lets you pay a toll, vote or read how the whole system works.
new in 26.07.2026 MAYOR ELECTIONS have arrived! Selected maps can now elect a mayor. When an election is announced, head to the mayor board on that map: running for office costs 5000 ln points, voting is free and secret, one vote per device. The winner rules the map for a week: their name is spoken with a title, their office carries their name, and everyone entering the map pays a small toll that goes straight into the mayor's bag, online or offline. New players, staff and the mayor's personal guest list enter free, and a map with no mayor is free for everyone. Check the office board to see how much your mayor has collected, browse past mayors, and use /mayor from anywhere to pay your toll or follow an election. Campaign, promise, win! New at the casino: dice duels! Challenge another player from the dice pit menu, both sides put up the same stake in point chips, highest roll takes the pot. Duels always ask the other player first, and the house keeps a small cut of every pot. The Golden Acorn Casino has opened its doors! You will find it in the village, on the east shopping street between the music store and the hotel carriage stop. Inside you can play the Seven Gates dice table, coin flip, blackjack against the house dealer, four slot machines with a growing jackpot, roulette, and bet on live rabbit derby races. Buy casino chips at the cashier desk for 1 ln point each, and sell them back any time at the same price. If you prefer, you can switch to gold chips at the cashier, which cost 1 ln credit each. Stand at any table and press shift and enter to play, and press m to find the tables around you. When somebody hits three sevens, the whole server will hear about it. The casino has house rules to keep things safe: your account must be at least 7 days old, there are daily loss and win limits, heavily drunk players are refused, and you can ask the cashier to ban yourself from the tables for a while. You can always see your own gambling totals under the account menu, in Account and history, Gambling history. If a reboot or disconnect ever interrupts a game, your bet comes back to you automatically. Also in this update: a photo taken with the camera can now be sent to the same person only once, though you can still share it with as many different people as you like. Good luck at the tables, Play for fun!
new in 24.07.2026 added courier work! courier boards have appeared around the world. stand on one and press shift plus enter, the same way you use a travel point, and you will hear it beeping nearby and see it in your object scan from 30 steps away. take a delivery, carry the sealed package to the board it names, and get paid in ln points. deliveries to another map pay much more than short ones, and arriving before your time runs out pays in full while a late delivery still pays half. deliver on time again and again to build a streak that pays extra, and watch for urgent jobs, which pay far more but give you half the time, and fragile jobs, which pay better but are ruined if you lose any health on the way. a courier bag lets you carry several packages and chain deliveries into one trip. you can also send a parcel to another player: your goods and the fee are held safely, a courier carries it across the world, and the fee is his wages. every delivery counts towards the weekly courier league, and the top five couriers of the week share a prize. open any board and choose the rules to read everything, or copy it all to your clipboard. added a camera! take a photo and it remembers the moment: the area you were in, the ground under you, the trees and things around you, and who was in the frame with you. photos are kept in the camera's memory (60 of them) and you can give them titles, mark favourites, delete them, and send them to other players, as long as they own a camera too. the camera has normal, selfie and panorama modes, zoom, flash, a 3, 5 or 10 second self timer and a 3 shot burst. it runs on PP3 batteries: one battery is good for 3 photos, and without a battery the camera will not shoot.
new in 21.07.2026 Activating pk time when you died and wait one day, reduced to one hour. Who will break the rule about killing his self and gaining items with using their partner will be penalyzed
new in 19.07.2026 you now hear a sound when your spouse comes online or goes offline. language menu now shows how many players are currently online in each language. now Language ownership is now protected from abuse. To add someone as a contributor to your language, or to hand a language's ownership over to them, that player must first /trust you -- trusting you counts as their agreement to join, so no one gets added to a language they never asked to be part of. There are also new limits: you can create at most one new language per week (this cooldown is saved even while you are offline and survives restarts), and you can own at most 3 languages at a time. On the anti-spam side, if you mute someone they can no longer /trust you -- they can only untrust -- which stops the trust / untrust notification spam that some players were abusing. Now you can't enable your pk if you dead, you have to wait one day to enable your pk flag again.

new in 08.07.2026 Now, microwave_for_luxury_pool_villa, advanced compass and racing bike in spend credit section!
new in 05.07.2026 Teleporters are now work like in stw!
new in 04.07.2026 a new item, the racing bike, has been added. it looks, sounds and rides exactly like a normal bike, but every pedal carries you twice as far (up to 10 tiles per push instead of 5 at full energy), so it crosses the map much faster. it stalls in water, crashes into walls and trees, and is ridden the same way as a normal bike. A small warn for pk players, open beer bottle and poisoned dagger able to stun opportunity person. new item. The advanced compass. it works just like a normal compass and uses the exact same sounds, but when it finishes it not only tells you the direction you are facing, it also reads out the zone you are standing in and every named zone on the entire map, telling you the direction and how many steps away each one is, so you always know the full layout of your surroundings you can now take uncooked meat back out of a skillet. before, once you put raw meat into a skillet you were stuck with it until it finished cooking; now using a skillet that still holds raw meat gives you the raw meat and the skillet back. fixed cooked meat from a microwave appearing "inside the wall" and being impossible to pick up when you had walked away while it finished cooking. the finished meat now drops on the microwave's own tile. also fixed cooked rabbit meat from a microwave coming out under the wrong item name. you can no longer ride a bike in the swimming pool or jacuzzi of a luxury villa. trying to get on the bike there is now refused, and riding into the pool makes the bike get stuck just like any other water. fixed a phantom drowning death. if you teleported out of an underwater area to a safe place, the game could still kill you about a minute later claiming you had drowned, costing you death free cards. your underwater state is now cleared the instant you teleport. fixed spawning in mid-air after a server restart while you were inside a villa, which then made you fall, break bones and lose a death free card. when your character loads it is now snapped down onto solid ground instead of appearing above the floor. fixed dropping a large stack of wood (25 at once) sometimes never creating the wood floor tile, and fixed a dropped pile occasionally being credited to the wrong person. the ground tile now appears reliably no matter how the wood was dropped. fixed the item "net" wrongly showing up in the weapons category. it now only appears under survival items. fixed the new vomiting system making you throw up while you were still hungry or thirsty. you now only get sick from overeating when you are actually full, and drinking a life potion no longer counts as food and no longer makes you vomit. fixed losing ownership and admin rights of your groups after you rename your account. renaming now updates your name inside every group you own, moderate or are a member of, so you keep your role. when watching another player, you can hear animals again: their attack, hit and other sounds now reach spectators the way they used to. while watching another player you can no longer use items, trigger hand actions or otherwise act in the world through the person you are watching. fixed a boat passenger slowly falling behind the driver when the passenger was facing a different direction. everyone sharing the boat is now carried along together regardless of which way each person is looking. pressing the info key on a weapon (the same key that reads a grave) now also tells you that weapon's damage per hit, next to its loaded and spare ammo. fixed the translation line editor writing the literal text "[cncel]" into a line if you opened that line for editing and then pressed escape. cancelling an edit now leaves the line exactly as it was.
new in 02/07/2026 added a new item, microwave_for_luxury_pool_villa. this lets luxury pool villa owners set up their own microwave inside their villa, so you and your guests can cook raw meat at home without walking to the restaurant. only the villa owner can place one, and only inside a villa they own - a random visitor cannot drop a microwave in someone else's villa. once you own the item, stand anywhere inside your villa and use it: your character pauses for a couple of seconds while you set it up, then you get a confirmation that the microwave was placed. you can put down as many microwaves as you like around your villa. a placed microwave works exactly like the ones in the restaurant: recharge it with batteries, put in 10 raw animal meat (wolf, bear, boar, lion, polar bear, rabbit, fish or shark) to cook it into eatable meat, and once it is placed anyone standing on it can cook, not just the owner. microwaves you place are permanent - they stay put and are saved through server restarts, and they show up on the m (what's near) key and in the item tracker just like any other microwave. if a villa is ever removed, its microwaves are cleaned up with it. Auctions have arrived! Every now and then a developer will put an item up for auction. Place your bid with /bid <amount>, and the highest bidder when the timer runs out wins the item.
