Hidden Cave Quest Guide: Hunter's Diary
First of all, you must accept this quest from the quest menu, among the unaccepted quests.
Part 1: Entering the Cave
1.
Start on the map named "Middle_Valley".
2.
Use the hotkey [k] to open the list of static objects and locate the point marked: "There is a sturdy tree".
3.
Once you reach this spot, set your compass to 0 degrees and move down until you hear the notification:
"To enter the hidden cave, press shift enter. Warning! Entering this hidden cave can be very dangerous. So be sure to join a leader."
4.
Use the shortcut mentioned in the location name (Shift + Enter) to enter the cave.
Part 2: Navigating the Depths
•
Go all the way down.
•
Take two steps forward and descend all the way down again.
•
Take one step to the right onto the stairs and descend.
[CAUTION] Dangerous animals inhabit the bottom level. It is highly recommended to have a powerful weapon equipped, a shield on, and at least 10 DFC in your backpack.
•
After reaching the bottom, walk forward until you hit the wall, then take 10 steps to the left. You will find a one-tile drop.
•
Drop down to the lower level.
•
After dropping down one tile, set your compass to 225 degrees and take two steps forward in air onto the stairs.
•
Next, turn to 180 degrees and take 5 steps forward.
•
Set your compass back to 225 degrees and jump 6 or 7 tiles forward onto the stairs.
•
Note: Do not jump normally using ctrl + space + Arrow; instead, move forward step-by-step to "jump" down, otherwise you will end up on the level with the animals.
•
After landing on the stairs, go all the way down and change your heading to North. Then, jump off the stairs.
•
Walk all the way back, and then all the way to the left until you find the spot: "press shift enter down".
•
Press Shift + Enter, go all the way down, and then move right into the water.
Part 3: The Objective
•
Once in the water, walk at least 30 steps to the right. You can now dive; the lake is very deep.
•
Underwater, you will find the required item: "hunter's_diary".
•
Part 4: How to Exit the Cave
1.
Get out of the water.
2.
Reach the spot marked: "press shift enter up".
3.
Move up and use the Shift + Enter shortcut.
4.
Walk 42 tiles to the right and 33 tiles forward.
5.
You should find wide stairs leading up above you.
6.
After climbing up, change your heading to 45 degrees and jump 6 to 7 tiles forward.
7.
Go up and set your compass to 0 degrees.
8.
Jump up.
9.
Once you reach the level with the animals, go all the way right, then forward, then 10 tiles back, and 7 tiles left to find the stairs.
10.
Climb the stairs and take one step left.
11.
Go up and take two steps back.
12.
Continue going up until you hear the prompt:
"To_exit_the_hidden_cave_press_shift_enter"
