I personally disagree with restoring cross-map access for police vehicles.
From what I have seen in the game, many players use police vehicles mainly for fast personal transportation rather than for actual law enforcement. When police vehicles could be transported freely between maps, they were often being used more like a fast travel vehicle than for their intended police purpose.
Because of that, I think restricting police vehicles to their respective map is actually a reasonable decision. It helps prevent the vehicle from being misused as a general-purpose transportation method and keeps its role focused on law enforcement.
So for now, I think the developers' reasoning behind keeping police vehicles map-specific is reasonable. I would rather see the developers focus on expanding the maps first and then reconsider cross-map police vehicle transportation later.

Yes, you're right. We want police cars to go back to how they were before. This update is good, but if the cars are privately owned, then the situation is bad.
