Most of what was added to Life in Nature over the past months lives under one entry in the game menu called Village life. It is split into living off the land, kitchen and health, work and money, home and comfort, town and law, people, and family. There are no slash commands for any of it; everything is reached from that menu.

Player trades. Under work and money, work and jobs, you can take up a trade that other players pay you for: the barber cuts hair, the tailor mends and lines clothes so that the cold bites less, the restaurant cook and the barman serve food and drink they own, the musician plays the street whistle, and there are the teacher, the guide and the night watchman. The game sets no price for any of these. What a barber or a tailor charges is agreed between the two players.

Chartered posts. Police officer, teacher and guide are limited posts. You apply for them from work and jobs, and the mayor of the map decides. If nobody looks at the application for two days and a seat is free, it is granted automatically. Teachers give lessons to players in their first week and are paid properly when the pupil is still playing three days later. Guides write a route of stops and take people round it for whatever fee they set.

The rescue drill. A mayor or the staff can call a volunteer rescue drill on a map once a week. Everybody has ten minutes to answer the call and reach the muster point. Everyone who arrives is noted, and once a week that is worth a small number of points.

Music. Standing within ten steps of a playing music box slowly makes you less tired. It helps, but it is not a substitute for sleep.

If you run a trade and want customers, say so in Trading & Economy; players looking for a tailor or a guide read there.
