Game Map Guide
Updated August 2026: this guide covers the classic maps. Newer places not described below: the Governor's Mansion and the music store in the village, the Grand Azure Hotel (north street of the village, six floors, weddings in the chapel), the rebuilt jail, and stormcrag ascent. Travel between maps can also happen automatically at map edges, and teleporters now fly you along the route instead of jumping.

General Instructions
• Use the compass for navigation.

North = 0 degrees (Forward), South = 180 degrees (Backward), East = 90 degrees (Right), West = 270 degrees (Left).
• Press the k key to track locations.
• Press the m key to track items.
How to Get to South Camp & Return to Middle Valley
• Start in Middle Valley. Set your heading to 180 (South) and proceed forward until you reach the Southern Hill transition point. Press Shift+Enter to zone in.
Pro Tip: For easier travel, stick to the map's edges to avoid the large hill in the center.
• Continue south for 500 tiles until you reach the Belgrade Forest transition point. Press Shift+Enter to enter.
• Cross this map by heading south until you reach the Hot Desert transition point. Press Shift+Enter to zone in.
• Proceed through Hot Desert to its southern end to find the entrance to South Camp. Press Shift+Enter to enter.
• Welcome to South Camp.
To return to Middle Valley, set your heading to 0 (North) and traverse back through Hot Desert, Belgrade Forest, and Southern Hill to reach the Middle Valley transition point.
How to Get to Bear Forest & Return to Middle Valley
The path to Bear Forest changes depending on your current zone.
1. From Middle Valley
There are two routes to Bear Forest from Middle Valley:
• Route 1: Set your heading to 180 (South) and cross Middle Valley to its end to find the Southern Hill transition. Enter it. Now, travel to the far west side of Southern Hill. For safety, take one step forward to locate the Bear Forest transition, then press Shift+Enter to enter.
• Route 2 (Via Green Divide): In Middle Valley, either head to the far east with a heading of 0 or proceed forward with a heading of 90 to reach the Green Divide transition.
Note: This transition point is located in the river on the eastern side of Middle Valley.
Once inside Green Divide, change your heading to 180 (South) and proceed until you hit a wall. Jump one tile forward to land on top of it. Now, continue forward until you reach the Bear Forest transition. Press Shift+Enter to zone in.
2. From Rain Forest
To get to Bear Forest, set your heading to 270 (West) or move west with a heading of 0 until you find the Green Divide transition. Enter it, change your heading to 180, and proceed until you hit a wall. Jump one tile forward and continue on this path to find the Bear Forest transition.
3. From Beautiful Forest
To get to Bear Forest, set your heading to 180 and proceed forward until you find the Rain Forest transition. Enter it, then go to the far east and forward until you reach the river. Use the Green Divide transition and proceed forward to the wall. Jump one tile forward and continue on your path to reach Bear Forest.
4. From Boar Forest
To get to Bear Forest, simply travel north (heading 0) through Boar Forest until you reach the transition point.
To return to Middle Valley from Bear Forest, you can go via Southern Hill or Green Divide.
How to Get to Boar Forest & Return to Middle Valley
There are several routes to Boar Forest from different zones.
1. From Middle Valley
Travel through Middle Valley with a heading of 180 to reach the Southern Hill transition. Cross to the far west side of Southern Hill and enter the Bear Forest transition. Then, continue 500 tiles south to find the Boar Forest transition.
2. From Southern Hill
Continue through Southern Hill with a heading of 180 to reach the Belgrade Forest transition. Now, travel to the far west of Belgrade Forest and, to be safe, move one tile forward to find the Boar Forest transition.
3. From Other Maps
If you are in Green Divide, Rain Forest, or Beautiful Forest, you must first navigate to Bear Forest. From there, set your heading to 180 (South) and proceed to Boar Forest.
To return to Middle Valley, you can route through Bear Forest to Southern Hill, or through Bear Forest to Green Divide.
How to Get to Beautiful Forest & Return to Middle Valley
There are two primary routes to Beautiful Forest:
• Route 1: In Middle Valley, set your heading to 90 (East) and go forward to the Green Divide transition. Enter, and continue for 500 tiles to the Rain Forest transition. Then, set your heading to 0 (North) and continue until you reach the Beautiful Forest transition.
• Route 2 (Via Ocean): In Middle Valley, set your heading to 0 (North) and travel to the far northeast corner to find the Ocean transition. Enter it, move one tile forward, and enter the next Ocean transition. Now, set your heading to 90 (East) and proceed 500 tiles to find the Beautiful Forest transition.
To return to Middle Valley, you can either go via Rain Forest and Green Divide (headings 180, then 270) or through the Ocean (headings 0, then 270).
To get to Beautiful Forest from Southern Hill, Boar Forest, or Belgrade Forest, you must first get to Bear Forest, then Green Divide. Press k to track Rain Forest, head towards it, enter the transition, and proceed with a heading of 0 to reach Beautiful Forest.
How to Get to the Mountain & Return to Middle Valley
To get to the Mountain, travel to the far west side of Middle Valley to find the transition point. For easier navigation, set your heading to West (270). Be warned: Falling from the mountain is fatal.
Reaching the Summit or the Cave
• Set your heading to 270 and proceed forward until you reach a wall. Climb it completely.
• Go forward again until you hit a second wall and climb it.
• Next, move 4 tiles forward and perform a jump of 3 to 5 tiles forward.
• This spot is a fork in the path. You can either jump 2 tiles forward to continue towards the summit, or descend to enter the cave below the mountain.
• To enter the cave: Simply follow the stairs all the way down.
• To reach the summit: Jump 2 tiles forward and climb the wall. Go to the next wall and climb it, then jump one tile forward. Now, advance 10 tiles, jump 3 or 4 tiles forward, and climb the wall. Finally, go forward to the last wall and climb it to reach the summit.
How to Return from the Mountain to Middle Valley
• Set your heading to 90 (East).
• Carefully approach the mountain's edge.
• Descend the first cliff face completely.
• Move 15 tiles forward. Use your camera to check your landing, then descend the next cliff face.
• Use your camera to confirm you have one tile of space. Move forward and make a jump of exactly three tiles.
Warning: A shorter jump will result in a fall and the loss of your DFC.
• Now, move 10 tiles forward, drop down one tile, and then descend the cliff face completely.
• Move 15 tiles forward, descend the cliff, and perform a jump of 3 to 5 tiles.
Warning: Jumping less than 3 or more than 5 tiles will cause a fall and loss of DFC.
Warning: Due to the low ceiling here, you must perform a running jump.
• Check with your camera. If you see a drop-off, do not proceed. Make a jump of 3 to 7 tiles forward.
Warning: Jumping less than 3 or more than 8 tiles will cause you to fall and lose your DFC.
• Use your camera to advance as far as safely possible, then descend the next cliff face.
• Move 6 tiles forward and descend the wall.
• Now, move 5 tiles forward and descend the final wall.
• Proceed straight ahead to reach the Middle Valley transition point.
How to Get to Sunshine Forest & Return to Middle Valley
There are two main routes to this zone.
Route 1: Via the Cave Under the Mountain
• Set your heading to 270, go forward to the first wall, and climb it.
• Go forward again to the second wall and climb it.
• Move 4 tiles forward, jump 3 to 5 tiles forward, and descend the stairs to the bottom.
• Proceed 220 tiles forward to a set of stairs and climb up exactly 31 tiles.
• Use your camera to locate a tile in front of you. Step forward once and jump between 3 to 8 tiles forward.
Warning: Jumping more than 8 tiles will cause you to fall.
• Descend the wall.
• Press k to view nearby points of interest. Track the Bridge and move towards it.
• When you reach the Bridge, cross it to the very end (210 tiles) to find the Sunshine Forest transition.
• Press Shift+Enter and climb down the tree to enter Sunshine Forest.
Route 2: Over the Mountain Summit
• This path begins at the mountain's summit.
• Set your heading to 270 and proceed 126 tiles to reach the other side of the mountain, then descend the cliff face completely.
• Move 10 tiles forward and descend the next wall.
• First, check behind you. If there is a tile, step back once, then repeatedly tap your back key to drop onto the tile, and then descend.
• Move 19 tiles forward and descend the wall.
• Now, move 21 tiles forward and descend 20 tiles.
• Take one step forward and jump 3 or more tiles forward.
Warning: Jumping more than 8 tiles will cause you to fall.
• Check for a tile in front of you and advance until the path ends at a drop-off.
• Descend the wall.
• Press k to track the nearby Bridge and head towards it.
• Cross the Bridge to its end (210 tiles) to find the Sunshine Forest transition.
• Press Shift+Enter and climb down the tree to zone in.
Returning from Sunshine Forest to Middle Valley
• Press k, find the tree, and press Enter to track it.
• When you reach the tree, set your heading to 0 (North), move one tile left, press Page Down, move one tile left again, press Shift+Enter, and then press Page Up to exit the river.
• Set your heading to 90 (East) and proceed forward until you get the message: You can't go there without a boat!
• Equip your boat and oar, but be careful not to go more than 95 tiles forward.
• After 95 tiles, change your heading to 0 (North) and paddle until you reach the shore.
• Get up and walk forward until you hit a wall. Then, go all the way to the left until you hit another wall. Now, take one step back, one step right, then one step forward, and climb the wall all the way to the top (200 tiles).
• Once at the top, take one step to the right and press Shift+Enter to return to the mountain area.
Now that you have returned to the mountain entrance, you have two options to get back to Middle Valley: the cave route or the over-mountain route, as detailed in the Return from the Mountain guide.
How to Get to the Village & Return to Middle Valley
• To get to the Village, travel to the northernmost edge of Middle Valley (heading 0).
• Press Shift+Enter and move forward until you receive the message: You can't go there without a boat!
• Equip your boat and oar and press t to set sail. Cross the sea until you reach the Shadowswamp transition point. Traverse this map to its end, press Shift+Enter, and exit into the next body of water.
• Here, you can press k to locate the Village. Track it and sail towards its transition point.
To return to Middle Valley from the Village, set your heading to 180 (South) and sail until you reach the Ocean. Cross the ocean to the Shadowswamp transition. Cross Shadowswamp to the next Ocean transition. Enter the ocean, then press k to track Middle Valley and sail towards it.
How to Get to the PKMAP
• To reach the PKMAP, travel to the far northeast of Middle Valley with a heading of 0 to find the Ocean transition. Enter it. Move one tile forward and enter the next Ocean transition.
• Now, travel all the way east, and then all the way north. When you reach the end, take one step west and use the Ocean transition.
• From here, you have two options:
• Option 1: Take one step forward and east, and enter the Large Lake transition. Follow this path to its end and enter the Ocean transition. Move one tile forward, enter the next Ocean transition, and proceed forward to find the PKMAP.
• Option 2: Use a boat to travel along the edge of Large Lake until you reach an Ocean transition. Use it, move one tile forward, and you will find the PKMAP transition.
