Survival Systems

To survive in the world of Life in nature, you must carefully manage four primary stats: Health, Energy, Hunger, and Thirst. This section explains how each system works.

Health

How Health Works

Health represents your physical well-being. By default, your health ranges from 0 to 1000. If your health falls below 1000, it will regenerate slowly over time.

Causes of Damage

Your health will decrease from the following sources:

Restoring Health

You can restore health using these methods:

Dying and the death_free_card: If your health reaches 0, you will die. Your corpse and all your inventory items will drop on the ground, and can be looted by anyone. However, there is an exception: the death_free_card. If you have this item in your inventory when your health reaches 0, one card will be consumed instead, preventing your death and saving your items. It is highly recommended to carry as many as you can.

Energy

Energy is your capacity to perform actions. Almost everything you do, from walking to crafting, consumes energy.

Hunger

Your hunger level ranges from 0 to 1000 and must be kept low by eating. You can satisfy your hunger with various foods, most of which require preparation.

Animal meats must be butchered and cooked before they become edible. An exception is the eatable_oyster, which can be gathered from underwater and eaten raw.

Thirst

Thirst is just as critical as hunger. You must drink regularly to survive. Thirst is quenched by:

Other Status Effects

In addition to your primary stats, you may be affected by other conditions.
